I haven't read the novels or seen the old anime but the new Boogiepop was pretty disappointing to me, considering the hype behind both the director and the source material. I dropped it after episode 4. Well on the upside, Boogiepop is an anime original sequel series to the first volume of the Boogiepop novels, of which the new Boogiepop anime adapted in episodes 1-3, right? So I have the required context to watch Phantom!

Holy shit. That is a pretty awesome style. I'm watching Texhnolyze right now and while the art quality itself isn't the most consistent, the character designs are fucking awesome. I love how creepily detailed he makes the eyes.

Such a shame that Rerided looked like such dogshit, I couldn't even tell that the character designs were by the same guy who did Lain.

Voynich Hotel is great. It's seemingly random and laugh out loud funny. Though there's parts where that randomness builds on what's behind the scenes of the hotel. At least that's what it looks like. I also appreciate the simple art of this author. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for persistently mentioning it in club, which encouraged me to try it. I'll let you know what I think when I'm finished with it. It's a very easy read btw. Thank you again!

I'm currently watching your rec of Haibane Renmei at chapter 8, and it gets really good.. The first few chapters are somehow disgusting because of not knowing anything and just plain characters

But as it goes up, characters get better and also the storyline, It's gonna be with no doubt around 9-10/10 score for me, thanks.
