I am referring to just the song. More specifically, the OP for HnP. I was not a fan of the vocals and the beat; they seemed to be battling one another instead of supporting one another.
I see. I'll probably feel the same about Re: Zero, but I may still watch it eventually out of curiosity + my sibling thinks it's one the best series ever lol. So far it's attempts to try to be deep have come off as pathetic. Subaru and Kazuki initially seem to be quite ordinary teenagers, though the difference is that Kazuki actually thinks his way through while the Subaru flails around like a moron while still being unable to grasp that he's repeating the same events, even after experiencing them multiple times. How hyped the series is truly is absurd.
I am sincerely relieved that Hakomari has a nearly non-existent chance of receiving an anime as I feel that it would be completely screw up if any studio attempted to re-create it. There are so many people who are all like "anime sucks now because all we keep getting is crappy light novel adaptations lmao." Hakomari is proof that diamonds do exist within the medium.
I am overwhelmed by the scale and depth of the series as it has shown to have transcended time and even logic itself. It finds every single loophole in logic and figures out a way to exploit it somehow. To but it frankly, it literally deconstructs common sense and re-crafts it the way it chooses to, which is something I've seen no other psychological work do to this extent.
I can tell that truly Mikage truly poured his soul into writing this thing. His author's notes section at the end of every volume really shows how he enjoyed creating it.
I've only seen about 3-ish episodes of Re: Zero, but I am currently unable to take it seriously due to the tone. Apparently it's starting to become a bit crazier though, so I'll probably finish it later to see what the fuss is about.
I've read one chapter of Kamisu Reina, but I'll probably continue it after Hakomari. I love how Mikage writes, his work is so unique in comparison to everything else out there. I'll be sure to check out Majonaka as well when it's done then. It's so sad that his works seem to go under the radar, though at the same time, less popularity makes them feel kind of special to come across.
Psychological is by far my favorite genre and Hakomari by all means has been the most psychedelic adventure I've seen in my life. This use of an unreliable narrator is absolute genius.
