If you like historical epics this one is for you. While it does take place in a fictional world, there is 0 magic or fantasy elements, so you actually kinda feel that things like this could very well happen in the real world.
The genre is 100% pure senkimono, which means that it focuses on warfare. In this novel, there is a much larger focus on strategy and outwitting the enemy than fighting itself, so it's good if you prefer that kind of stuff.

person), so expect a pretty rough antisocial guy that's really good when it comes to fighting (it's pretty realistic in the sense that being OP means being able to fight 3-4 guys at once. Not wiping out an entire army). Although it weirded me out a little. He's supposedly 15 and already an incredibly skilled warrior that massacres his way through the battlefield? You would think that people twice with age and experience would be able to do something against him but no. Just found that a bit weird, bu t if you accept it as some natural talent or something I guess it works.
My favourite part was the antagonists. They were all really badass and smart, so their chapters were my favourite parts of the book.
I have some other stuff I would like to read now but there's a good chance I'll be getting the second volume somewhere in the future.

It's good old Shokugeki but the video speed is set at 1,5x !
First, let's adress the biggest issue that this anime has. In previous seasons, it wasn't like this, so I really don't know what happened. But, for some reason, this anime is FAST. In the manga, this season's plot was incredibly rushed, and it got criticised for it a lot. However, I don't think that's the case here. They're adding a lot of stuff, fleshing out certain parts so they have more depth and changing quite a lot of things. It's not the plot that rushed, quite the opposite. But, somehow, watching it feels

a little stressful. Important moments last literally 1 second, everyone is speaking so fast, the battle music is playing the whole episode, etc. You can literally get exhausted watching it. If they didn't add so many changes and details I would think they're just making the anime without realising what is important, what should they emphasize and all the other important things.
But, I still enjoy it a lot. It's simple, I like the characters, and the story is entertaining. We have the old characters + Asahi. Fukuyama Jun makes Asahi great,and I'm loving his anime version honestly. There aren't many other new characters so most most of the time it resembles the previous seasons.
And honestly, if you're watching this you've probably already saw over 70+ of Shokugeki no Soma episodes. If you liked those seasons, it means:
- You liked the characters
- You couldn't care less about animation (yes, it probably doesn't get any worse than this)
- You like Soma crushing his opponents in cooking battles with cool music in the background
Then I don't see why you would not like this season. I enjoyed the story in the manga but this version is a bit different and so far, so even if you didn't like that I still suggest giving it a try.
Also, both the opening and the ending are insanely good (this is unironically a very important point, actually).
If you get used to the fast pace I'm going to recommend this. The 8 score is a bit weaker 8, but if you're a Shokugeki fan, you're going to enjoy this final season too.

I see that the other reviews aren't that positive but don't mind if I do:
Art is perfect. However, the part where the manga REALLY shines, are characters. Some people aren't happy with the recent development but after almost 300 chapters of couse someone will drop it. Personally this manga is the absolute #1 one best thing I've ever read and invested myself into, so if you are wondering whether to read this - of course you should it's a god damn masterpiece.

As I said the best thing about this manga are the interesting side characters. There are a LOT of them mind you, so not everyone gets a lot of screen time, but I never felt that a character was wasted, they always achieved something important. Even the villains are great, Tsukasa Eishi is imo one of the best written characters (or antagonists?) in manga as a medium. I'm not that fond of the boss of the Central arc since he doesn't really cook, but I can't say that I don't respect him as a character. And then the charming Asahi - perfect villain imo.
I've been reading this manga for like 5 years and it really gave me a lot, so I recommend it and I hope

This movie insulted my intelligence.
I really enjoyed the anime series, so going into this movie I had some pretty high expectations. Well, it trampled over them and them set them on fire.
Instead of a nice sequel to the popular anime, what I got was a sentimental tear-jerker with no substance at all. None of the characters acted real - I won't go into detail to avoid spoilers but none of it made any sense.
And that's the worst thing about this movie - nothing is ever explained. They just throw some 2-seconds long scenes at you and expect you to cry about how deep

it actually is, but it really is not.
If this was a standalone movie, I would give it around 5/10 I think. But because the tv series already established these characters, them acting so OOC made it 5x times worse. Really, if I could, I would never watch this shitty fanfiction again.
The music choices were terrible as well, but that was probably because there weren't really any happy scenes at all. There were literally 0 gags in a comedy anime, wow. The animation wasn't even anything special either, I would expect more from a MOVIE with such a high budget.
Overall, please, don't.

Who thought that making an anime based on a 3-minute song would be a good idea?
Well, whoever did, they were right. It's really damn funny.
The art may not be the best but it's much better than what I expected it to be. Usually, when you watch these kind of anime that lie on the bottom of the popularity barrel each season, you can easily grow accustomed to uhh.. "lacking" animation and, of course, shortened lenght.
I knew and really liked the song (especially the MafuMafu x Soraru version, look it up), so when I first saw this anime announced, I expected it to have like 3-minute

episodes. Well, here we are, at the standard 20-minute lenght, and I must say that the writers know how to use the time correctly.
The music is fine, it uses the original song as its OP but I certainly wouldn't call it the best cover. The ending is really nice though!
The characters are what you would expect. We have the straight (wo)man who reminds us that the whole show is, in fact, not actually about fighting demons but about having fun with the people you like.
And that's why I think I enjoy it this much. I'm not gonna lie, it doesn't really do anything new and might come across as generic to some people, but it's some nice make-you-feel-good fun.

The 4th season of Beyblade Burst. So far it feels a lot like season 1, with a very character-driven story instead of focusing on an overarching plot like in season 3.
We have a new main character, Drum, who decides to leave BC Sol in Spain to go back to his roots in Japan, the home of beyblade. I feel like I'm watching someone grind in an MMO.
This is garbage and I say this as a person that likes the isekai genre.
The thing is, they kinda forgot about the "isekai" part. There's no transportation to another world in this anime because for some reason they skipped it. The pacing is terrible, instead of things playing out as they should they put everything into flashbacks, confusing everyone. And honestly that might have been their goal considering that if you haven't read the source material, nothing in this adaptation is going to make sense. I'm 4 episodes in and if I hadn't read the

explanations by ln readers, I would be completely lost.
This anime has two major flaws. The first one, is obviously the animation. CG that makes Overlord 3 look good is the norm here. The opening doesn't even have any animation with barely any art, just quickly finished pictures of characters without their faces.
Second, the pacing / story. Sitting through episode 4 was torture. The whole episode was just 1 fight against an unnamed enemy creatures. And that's how it has always been for the most part. The MC just killing random mobs and looting them, sometimes I feel like I'm watching someone grind in an MMO. Because they're monster npc they have no personality and it's just not fun. I'm not saying that fighting against monsters has to always be boring, it COULD have been fun, had the animation been good. But 20 minutes of 1 fight with animation straight from a PS1 game.. oh god kill me.
The whole anime just moves too slowly and that it's number 1 problem. At this point I doubt we will even see him finish the dungeon before the season ends.

While the first episode could come off as generic, the latter ones were really great, which is why I think this might be the hidden gem of the season.
The side characters are the best thing about this.
Even though the main character is obviously op as hell, he doesn't overshadow the sthem. The grandpa and grandma are both very important to the story and often give Shin the guidance he needs. You can often see him coming to them for advice, which is quite rare in anime.

have already met have around 8 classmates, half of them being male. Most of them still get plenty of attention and there is even a couple there!
Now my favourite part - the villains. I won't spoil anything, but you can clearly see everyone's motivation and damn me if you're not going to be cheering for them a few episodes later. Much better than something like shield hero's bad guys being bad for the sake of being bad.
Now, parents being useful, side characters dating instead of wanting to shag the MC, and "villains" not really being villains already breaks 3 tropes and we're 4 episodes in, so it's not THAT generic is it.
I won't lie, it isn't anything unique either, but it's very fun and makes you feel good.

Note: I watched all of the beyblade generations and this is by FAR the best one.
There are a LOT of shonen animes that try too hard to be unique, but most of them fail. Beyblade burst keeps things simple while really focusing on its characters and their interactions, unlike the previous generations who were just about battling and yada yada. In this season the beyblade battles are more of a plot device for the characters to fully interact with each other, and it works perfectly.
Animation and voice acting is good, it gets better in the next season (especially the CG) but it's a pretty popular

show in Japan so of course the budget is pretty big. What sets this anime apart though is that there are SO MANY good soundtracks. In a 4-cour anime of course there's bound to be a lot of good music but giving almost every character their own theme was outstanding.
The op fits this season well, they're more emotional than the Beyblade Burst God or Beyblade Burst Chouzetsu ones, since like I said battling is not that important here, the characters are.
I've watched over 200 anime and honestly I love this with every inch of my body.
