It is a precious little slice-of-life gem about (ex-)yakuza Jin and his "fluffy café" - out of a cats perspective.

After getting rescued, the small kitten Sabu has to get used to its new home and more importantly the intimidating facial expressions of its owner - while starting to work with a bunch of quirky cats and dogs at that animal cafe. Overcoming fear, getting to know new things and meeting new pets and people, the purring protagonist widens his world on a daily adventure.
The art is nice and simple, the yakuza-caretaker really cool and the pets lovable - every single one with its own ...

It is an encouraging story about the highschooler Shouta Kikuzato joining the track-and-field-club after loosing a leg.
A year of depression passed since a barely ever mentioned accident and Kikuzato has given up his former soccer-career, growing away from his best soccer-buddy and feeling misunderstood at home when he is approached by a stranger named Chidori. He reveals to be an specialist for artificals limps looking for an athlete to promote his new-founded company by donating his very first tournament-prothesis. So the two oft hem team up…
I liked that the story skipped the traumatizing part of loosing a limp and focused on the challenges after ...

I'm sooo disappointed! :'-)
As one of my first manhaws I was a litte hypted getting to know the anime-version. Well - I shouldn't have.
Yes it is one of the old (and in this gengre quite) familiar isekai-storys and the plot is pretty much predictable - but the execution of this wanna-be romance is just bad. Despite giving their very best, the voice-actors couldn't rescue this butchery.

Best part here were the opening an the ending theme. But thats about it.

The plot between the female lead, who is originally reaborn as the disposable side-character, and the male lead is a little bit back-and-forth. But in the original ...

Well the first season was a solid one - but sadly, I watched the second... and man that got dull, disgusting and disturbing!

Once an innocent rom-com, it took a very wrong turn: analyzing saliva, reducing the formerly colorful characters on thier quirks, dress them up and then... - the last episode, which crushed all of my sympathy for our main girl by a very stupid motivation AND her date. From one slice-of-life-moment to another, this show concludes with a planed rape as climax (I wish I was kiddinig, but I don't) - while the possible victim is agonizing about the "concept of beeing normal". Apologizing ...

This hits hard! Damn hard.
And it is truthfully a masterpice.

Its an autobiographical Manga about the journey of becoming an artist, the concept of art school, the passion for art in gerneral and the genre of manga as an artform in between.

The heroines ambition, becoming a manga artist, forces her to take lessons in fine art to aim for a special university. Living in the countryside, she doesen't go to an elaborated art-prep-school but to an eccentric art-teacher, without degree, in the middle of nowhere. Provided with an massive ego, she fights her way through all sorts of obstacles. Wondering if there is a right way, ...

What a Masterpiece - thats all there is to say!

I realley enjoyed every single moment.

Somewhere I overheard "it might be the chinese version of a ghibli film" an I think thats quiet fitting, looking at the artstyle - especially the backgrounds. But the story unfolds so many marvelous-animated action scenes and tips of humor witch makes that film about nature, spirits and encounters with humans unbelievable charming in addtion. The major plot questions (miyazaki alike) whether nature and humans can coexists and in witch way. The little endearing protagonist has to find his own answer, stuck between differnt parties packed with intersting charakters, despite their ...
