As one of my first manhaws I was a litte hypted getting to know the anime-version. Well - I shouldn't have.
Yes it is one of the old (and in this gengre quite) familiar isekai-storys and the plot is pretty much predictable - but the execution of this wanna-be romance is just bad. Despite giving their very best, the voice-actors couldn't rescue this butchery.
Best part here were the opening an the ending theme. But thats about it.
The plot between the female lead, who is originally reaborn as the disposable side-character, and the male lead is a little bit back-and-forth. But in the original (belive it or not) it realy makes a lot more sense. Not as stiff as in the anime, the art does way better convey the chemestry, problems and narrative between these two and all the enjoyable side-characters!
I really don't think it should have had the quality of a "Violett Evergarden" but to sum it up: it lacks budget.
If you're interested in a predictable isekai-lovestory and don't mind the manhaw artstyle - please READ it instead! It is already finished. The anime stops about chapter 50 out of 158 in total.
Yet I hope they don't plan on making another season - I couldn't bear with it (getting reminded of the very last "Sven Deadly Sins"-production...)
