The first episode looked promising, the rest was a waste of time, honestly. An isekai with the MC NOT starting out as a human but as a goblin. Sounds catchy right?
Unfortunately, the anime fails to fully portray this concept in a good light. He gains new powers we won’t remember every time we blink and the episode runs through so fast with 4 different things happening that look pointless… and then it ends? Like why did that even happen?
All it has going for it is cringe plot armor. Would not recommend.

I started reading this manhwa without reading the review and expected nothing. Was a good thing because the GOLD I found quickly turned into Diamonds! I highly recommend this for anyone that sees it. No doubt. The reviews recommending it have not lied.
The beginning made me feel their emotions raw and it built up to a very good understanding of the characters and their situations. Their personalities are polar opposite yet they compliment each other. They would be an undefeatble strong team and the weakest. The homeless tent guy was annoying in the beginning and this may be something that would put others off but ...

If you mix the arrogant, power hungry, selfish personality of Tomb Raider King, a similar character design, outfits and concepts of Omniscient Reader and Solo Leveling, you’d get Solo Max Newbie.
The story is not unique and the Title is misleading. Art is 9/10. Fight scenes and quests are intriguing but that’s it. Overpowered MC with no character development, has nothing else to make him likable, which makes him bland. All his enemies are levels higher but he’s always somehow stronger, this has many plot holes and inconsistencies.At this point he could climb the tower in his sleep. **Not every manhwa is Omniscient Reader or Solo ...

Very well balanced theme despite how heavy and dark it seems. Frieren is not an emotionally open character and she also seems to be oblivious to those around her. Including their significance and impact. It could be because of the passage of time that she has hardened her heart or it’s simply who she is. Himmel is a character that left the biggest impression on her and on me too as a viewer. He had once said to her that he puts statues everywhere so she remembered that ‘…we lived’. ‘…she wouldn’t be alone’. This was beautifully captured. ...

I am someone that definitely gets distracted by CGI but because I like how real the music is, I was able to ignore.
The CGI did not mix well into the art. Makes you wonder why they bothered to use it. That being said, the story was not unique on it’s own, the characters were somewhat interesting [\spoiler] but I wish we could have known about Saeki a bit earlier in the series (for the plot lol). The art style definitely suits the characters and story. It makes it more visually appealing and we have a more realistic take of how the characters look and can easily tell their expressions. For an isekai-time travel type of manga, it’s very interesting. The story is unique (I am not an active manga reader so I don’t know about others except those that already have an anime). What makes even more enjoyable is that there are no supernatural characters. So no one is over-powered and it lessens the impact of how they’d have to include that and if that happened we would ...

All I have to say is WTH was that?
This anime has absolutely no direction from the beginning. I was a little interested because it confused me and I wanted to know more, but the more I knew, the worse the plot got. I have no idea why only 2 people survived and everyone else just died. Why this is acceptable to thousands-millions stuck in that dimension because GOD. I understand that a lot of people that are starting to dislike the show are the same type of fans that love dragon ball z because all they want to see if an anime with baseless plots and zero storyline but has fights throughout. This is not one of them and it’s okay to admit it for yourself.
Having said that, this season has been the best so far with how it touches the heroes, their stories and backgrounds. We’ll definitely get to see more fights but I love that they’re giving more insight into all the important characters of the show. This is important ... |
