So you would think this is one of those biased reviews where I randomly put 10's just because I love the anime. It's not true, because I actually think all of those fields deserve 10's.
Just by looking at some pictures of Kokoro Connect, you would think it's one of those anime where there's different routes, and it's basically just a story about a group of friends with problems. In this anime, it's different. There's an actual plot and conflict in the anime.
Story-The story is perfect for a slice of life anime. All these mysterious things keep happening that's bringing the friends apart. The characters
...
conflict, fight, go through hard times, and eventually become closer. It makes you think, "Is Heartseed doing this to make them closer"? And you will never predict what events come next. From Heartseed trying to kill Iori, to Yui beating up a guy at a train station. It's unpredictable, with very touching scenes about friendship and love. Also, it does a good introduction at the beginning of the characters and the problem that's going on, so the watcher can understand what's going on.
Art-While watching, I noticed that the art looks exactly like the art from K-ON! and Kyoukai no Kanata. This art style really fits the anime, and the characters are drawn well. They all look like average high-schoolers, instead of one of those anime where one character has beautiful blue hair, and this other character is some rich blonde hair girl-they look normal, which makes the anime more natural. Even though it's the same art style as K-ON!, the characters from Kokoro Connect don't look like the characters from K-ON all that much, so they did a good job of making them look unique.
Sound- The opening matches the anime well. It sounds like an average opening for any romance or slice of life anime, but that's what makes it perfect. Kokoro Connect IS an average-looking anime, and it IS romance and slice of life. Now to the voice acting. It wasn't anything special, but it wasnt that bad either. Inaba's mature voice matched her tsundere-character. Iori's immature voice matches her hyper personality. It's hard to describe Yui's voice, but it did match. Aoki and Taichi's voice matched perfectly. They sounded like average high schoolers. During the touching parts of the anime, the soothing background music really matched the mood, and adds on to the addiction people get while watching it.
Character-The characters were amazing. You really get to develop a love for they're unique personalities. They all have they're own stories and problems. In most anime, when two girls like the same guy-you mostly vote for the first girl, and get annoyed by the second. But in this anime, the two girls (being Iori and Himeko) cannot be dislikable. Instead of going route to route like most of Key's work, all the character's stories and problems develop together, and they make it work. It's one of those anime where there's a lot of really different characters and it's extremely hard to choose a favorite.
Enjoyment-I really enjoyed this anime. I finished it all in one day. It was really addicting, because you always wonder what's gonna happen next. What're they gonna do about it? Is it going to be okay? Is Iori really going to die? Will they still remain friends? The way everything goes together gets you really addicted, and I admit I cried a lot on the feels episodes. It's really good, and I really recommend it!
Overall-Almost everything about it is perfect, basically. If you like touching anime with unique characters and tons of plot twists and an amazing friendship, this is the anime for you!

To be honest, I liked the anime a little bit, the plot is good, atleast. It's one of those animes where it's not THAT good but you like it for some reason and can't stop watching. I think this is my first review so bare with me.
Characters: (6/10) I don't think a lot of the characters have much of a personality..I think Kuroneko has the most personality out of everyone. Kotori has some personality, Kazumi just spits out perverted stuff a lot, then gets tsundere..She's pretty unique but that's not as much as a personality that anime characters should have. Like one moment she talks
...
about sex and all that stuff, and keeps making moves on Murakami, then gets all shy and backs up. Murakami doesn't have much of one, and I think Kana should of talked and done more in the anime. Kuroneko has a lot of character though, and I haven't seen on like her.
Sound: (7/10) I'm more used to most animes where there's song lyrics and everything for the opening, instead of just instrumental. The music didnt match the anime at all. It should of maybe had a sad, or calming tune? The voice actors were pretty good, although Kazumi's voice actors could be a little bit better. They match the characters though. Like how Kuroneko's voice is calm and mature, it fits her kind and quiet personality. Kazumi is a tsundere, so her voice was pretty much good, it just doesn't sound feminine enough for her cute tsundere moments. Kotori's voice actor was pretty good, the high pitched-uneasy voice fits her moe personality well. The other voice actors are okay.
Art: (5/10) I think the art was okay, but it didnt match the anime well. I think maybe the artist of Another or The Irregular of Magic High School's art would of fit the anime more. Also, the characters look pretty weird when they cry, and if you look closely and avoid the hair, Kazumi's face looks like a guy.
Story: (9/10) The plot was really good, with Murakami's backstory with Kuroneko connecting everything to the witches. But there are extra details like at the beginning when Kuroneko used Kana's power to see future visions to save people. She did that on the first episode, but she stopped doing it. I think they rushed it a bit and totally forgot that. Also, the also episode disappointed me a lot. The battle between Valkyria and Kuroneko was too boring, with not enough action. They should of shown a better fight, with more powers used. I thought Kuroneko's power would be more brilliant, with tons of comeback moves. But there was barely any combat in the battle. And also, it didnt say much about stars in the anime. I thought it would. And I didn't see a point in Nanami. I know she helped him, but she should of appeared more. And Murakami cares too much about one person when he's only known them for a day or less. So side characters should show up more. And at the point where the characters think they're gonna die in a week, they should of been more sad about it instead of joking around.
Enjoyment: (7/10) I did like the anime, for some reason. Maybe because of the plot, or maybe because I just like the fact that the anime and to do with death, since I'm a horror fan. I liked Kuroneko and Murakami's unique past. Most anime, characters pasts are like "my parents died in a fire" or something, so I like his unique past. It was pretty good, I guess.
Overall: (7/10) I really wanted to see Kuroneko's powers, so I kept watching, although I got disappointed in the end. The first few episodes got me interested. They introduced Kuroneko well, and had a good explanation of the plot and everything in the first episode. The anime was pretty rushed, and had some pretty bad details to it, but it has it's good points. Most of it is pretty average.

The thing about sword art online is the art is pretty good and the story is creative but there are some important details that should be questioned. Why did kirito and Asuna fall in love all of a sudden? And how? To be honest it looked to me like Kirito watched Sachi die and didn't really give a fuck. Plus at the beginning, he told Asuna that he didn't wanna partner up with her but then joins a guild. That confused me a lot. And I think it should of had more moments with his other sword art online friends, not just Asuna. And all
...
of a sudden Asuna is in another game in the middle of the anime: How and why? Also the anime would be more interesting if they met Yui in real life also. And in the other game that popped up in the middle of the anime, how is kirito so good? If he is not high level, how is he so strong? How is his stats high enough to defeat strong people? I think the anime rushed too much having them play that game to survive. the creators probably rushed over the anime and didnt catch the details. Well its possible. Other than bad opinions, ill say good ones. The music is really good and the opening 1 is really catchy. The art is also pretty good. It's not that bad, pretty fun to watch. I hope the next season is better.
