Mixed Feelings
A wholesome show with a unique look that unfortunately leaves much to be desired with its story and characters.

The strongest point of this anime was the unique combination of CG backgrounds and objects paired with 2D character animation and vfx, as well as the cool but sometimes goofy camera animations. This alone is already enough to recommend the series, but not with much weight because its weakest point was the lack of interesting narrative and progression in the story. It's all very much in a bubble that stays still in time.

Mixed Feelings
Like pretty much all other Naruto films, the third one follows the same template. Sadly, it too suffers from a lot of problems. **Minor spoilers**

We are introduced to a new character who supposedly were a friend of Jiraiya & co, although never mentioned or seen in the main series. This character and his story is basically a copy-paste of Orochimaru's, though we are not told what happened to him after certain events. Mixed Feelings
Unlike other Naruto Special/OVA episodes that feel kind of slow, this one moves at a nice pace. The Cross Roads managed to keep me interested all the way through and I was very happy to see that it's pretty much like a normal episode... Except for the art. This one is not animated like your typical Naruto episode. It has somewhat of a 3D-ish style to it. Although I'm usually not that big of a fan of this style, I thought it looked decent and it wasn't much of a problem when you got into the action.
