Hey man! Sorry about the REALLY long delay in comment. Bet you really thought I might not be responding this time, huh? XD Actually, one of the main reasons for the delay is that I really wanted to have my next AMV finished by the time I commented at you next.... And it’s still not done. =P It’s kind of weird that I’m having so much trouble finishing this one because it uses video of only one single standard-length episode. Plus I’ve been watching a whole heck of a lot of YouTube stuff lately (mostly board game and political stuff) and I can’t really edit videos while I’m watching/listening to videos. XD But yeah, hopefully I’ll get it finished off soon-ish. Again, I’ll be sure to share the AMV with you whenever I do end up finishing it.

Oh, this is TOTALLY just a coincidence, but I see that you VERY recently finished Akudama Drive and seem to have liked it quite well! I liked that series a lot. While I didn’t watch much brand new stuff last year due to me mainly focusing finishing stagnate items, Akudama Drive was my favorite new 2020 anime. It got a high-level “9” from me, currently sitting as my #52 favorite anime/manga series of all time. On the other end, my least favorite of the whole five 2020 anime I watched last year was Magatsu Wahrheit. Man, that was so bad and disappointing. It was bad enough for me to write a review for it. Just, ugh.

But yeah, Happy New Year! Pretty late there, but hey, at least it’s just barely still January!! XD Hope you had a good one in some way, and Christmas too for that matter. I didn’t really do much of anything for either. I didn’t even stay awake for midnight on New Year’s. If you want to read a bunch of my throughs on the new-year-change to make up for how long it took me to respond, I did write a lengthy blog post on the subject.

And I’m glad I can be helpful with recommending stuff for you to watch! I have kind of watched a lot. XD I think I MIGHT be doing a new official update on my Top 100 Anime/Manga Series list and make the first official version of my Top 50 Standalone Anime Movies list sometime this year, so that could be another source of recommendations for you to mine from me soon-ish. ^_^

Aside from that, not too much going on with me since my last comment, really. I had a weekend trip to hang out with a couple of friends a few weeks ago which was nice. Been working as usual, which has been more busy/hectic than usual, so that has also been part of my delay in finishing my AMV and replying to my comments and such. Yeah, so that’s about it! Sorry again for the delay. Hope you’re doing well and continue to enjoy the anime watching!! ^_^

Nice to meet you Too :D

Well, you're actually finally legit-next-in-line for my comment responses, so I have returned! Would have been nice if I could have gotten another AMV done to show you, but I have not had that time yet. I suppose my time management isn't THAT good. And a good amount of it just comes down to me not having much of a life at the moment outside of work, being mostly in quarantine and all. Wheee.... Looking forward to COVID hopefully being mostly behind us some time next year.

I like your festive profile theme! It actually just dawned on me that Christmas is really soon and I'm only going to have to work for three days next week! Yay! Maybe I'll be able to do my next AMV over the 4-day weekend? Hmmm, we'll see! This will be a pretty weird Christmas for me. It doesn't feel at all like "the season" and such. I don't really have anything planned. I'll probably watch Tokyo Godfathers and maybe a few other things that are appropriate. I don't know. The final episode of Akudama Drive is scheduled for release of Christmas Eve so that would be an interesting thing to watch. Speaking of which, I think that series might be something you'd enjoy considering some of the stuff you've enjoyed. It's a lot of fun with a lot of good violent stylish action.

Oh, also, I really wouldn't mind if you talk nonsense and irrelevant stuff. I mean, I love the Monogatari Series and that's practically all that is! XD

But all things considered, I suppose I'm doing alright. If I don't talk to you again by the time, Merry Christmas! Hope you have a good one! ^_^

Hey man. Sorry for the delay in responding back to you. If you look at my other profile comments, you'll see that I actually have a habit of getting into big, long back-and-forths with other users with really long comments because sometimes I can't decide when to shut up. XD And since my comments usually take a good amount of time to write, I've been getting really behind on my responses. Usually I respond to comments on a first-in-first-out bases, but responded to you "out of turn" because your comments were short and you were nice enough to watch my AMV. ^_^

But, I figured before I'd respond to you again, that I should first respond to at least ONE of my big long-ass-comment-streams first, hence the delay.... Ehhh, not that you cared to hear an explanation or anything; just in case you were wondering! XD

Anyway, no biggy about the extra comment notifications. I just thought it was funny. That's weird that you weren't able to get the edit function to work.

And thanks again for the kind words about my AMV! I started back at work (teleworking) this week, so I don't know when I'll be getting my next AMV done, but I'll be sure to let you know when I post it. I also have this "Finish Them" initiative that I've been working on all year and I want to have a strong finish in this last month, so that will likely take up a good amount of my time. We'll see!

And yeah, I like where my collection is at these days. It used to be bigger, like two or three times the size it is now, but I sold off a lot of it and it's much more streamlined of just being things that I really love and would actually rewatch/re-read. And no shame in your lack of collection! I had a much smaller collection when I was in my late-teens/early-20s. I think I bought my first anime (Outlaw Star) and manga (Love Hina and Chobits) when I was 16 or 17, when I had my first part-time job. And actually, after you said that I was going through some of my old digital photos on my computer and this is my ENTIRE DVD and video game collection in 2004, when I was 20-years-old (yes, I'm figgin' old). Pretty fuzzy so you probably can't identify most of the things on the shelf, but it's definitely a much MUCH smaller collection that I have now. My collection kind of exploded a couple years after that while I was in the US Air Force. I had my food and housing taken care of and didn't have a car or barely any other bills other than internet and paying down some student loans, so it was pretty normal for me to spend at least $500 a month on anime/manga stuff. Good times, although I did get to a point where I couldn't keep up with watching/reading all of the stuff I was buying. I'm more selective with my purchases now since I don't quite have that much disposable income and my board gaming hobby also fights for my funds.

Haha! Did you comment back three times, deleting the previous comment each time?? XD

There is actually an Edit function for profile comments if you just needed to change/correct something. But I think it disappears from the comment on the profile page after a while. You can get it back if you click on the "Conversation" link under your comment, though. Another way that MAL is a little backwards and weird.

That is interesting that you just happen to randomly find my post on the Blogs page! Kind of makes me wonder if some of my posts might get a decent bit of interaction if the website had a better system for making them visible. It'd be nice if there was at least some kind of section on the front Panel for recent blog posts, or at least recent blog posts from friends.

And thanks again for the kind words! Like I said in my post, since I'm paying a subscription for my production programs, I'm going to try to get my money's worth by making stuff as often as I can, so I'll definitely be making more AMVs in the future. I'll probably do a few more simple ones before I get into some of the more ambitious projects that I want to do, but hopefully they'll still come out nice on some level.

Also, that's cool that you tend to score things pretty generously on here. Although I've become a little more critical/strict with my scoring in recent years, my scores still tend to be much higher than a lot of other users I come across. I mean, I can fill an entire Top 100 series list of things that I've scored 9s or 10s! XD Sometimes when I see people with really low scores on here, I wonder why they're even anime/manga fans if they seem to actually enjoy so little of it. =P

Hey Jake! I just made an account here. You linked this MyAnimeList website profile account on your FB, so I also decided to join this website. Is this website all for Anime? But man, please accept my FR on FB, I also sent you a friend request here and also happy birthday dude!

Hey! Thanks for the comment and glad you liked my AMV! ^_^

I'm responding on your profile because the blog system on here is kind of trash, so there's no way for you to get any kind of notification if I were to respond within my blog post (@ tagging someone used to work in blog comments, but doesn't seem to anymore). Speaking of which, did you just happen to find my post on the site's "Blogs" page? That's such a sad sad page, nothing but a basic listing of the 30 most recent posts site-wide. As someone who actually likes using the blog function, I should probably check that page out more, but it gets so clogged up with spam and private posts....

Anyway! Sorry for the tangent. Thanks again for watching my AMV and hope you enjoy Asobi Asobase when you get a chance to watch it! It's easily one of my favorite comedy anime from the past few years (Hinamatsuri is another great one from the same year). Hope you have a great day! Oh! And happy soon-to-be birthday! ^_^
