This anime went beyond any of my expectations. The plot was pretty compelling, as well as the art, which I personally find brilliant and interesting. The music was also unique and was conveying to me the right vibes, so that I couldn't stop watching the show. The topic on which the anime revolves sounded pretty interesting, although it had its pros and cons. As regards pros, it was good: the plot seemed intriguing and really prompted me to follow it to its deapest, as me trying every time to figure out what was going to happen next. Despite the shortness of the episodes, I have to admit I kind of enjoyed the way the story was outlined. I was quite impressed as I watched the first few episodes. This show honestly devoured me with its storyline, characters and animation in general. I did really appreciate how they adapted the plot to the historical period in which it takes place. Personally, I enjoy these kind of series, where the characters pertain to a different time compared to us, be it in the past or in the near future. Then, I figured this would have made no difference. For the note, I loved it. The design and the style of illustration were stunning, let alone the plot, stunning and heartbreaking as well.

Overall, this show was one of the greatest I've witnessed in 2019.
As regards the storyline, it was something original beyond my expectations, that I, personally, have never seen before, in any other anime I've watched so far. This really made me strive to dig into the series, as the well-kept character design and the smooth animations did as well. The illustrations were really rough but enough detailed at the same time, giving it all some sort of flowability in the moviments. I honestly really enjoyed this anime.
Although, I must say, I wasn't giving much credit to it at first. The artworks and character design seemed pretty "canon" to my expectations, however the story was intriguing. So I wanted to give it a try and the result was almost stunning. I genuinely assume this is one of the best animes I've seen airing in 2019.
