Heyooo, I am months late (again), because I never really check my profile on here. ^^
I think my only review was about the KonoSuba-Movie, glad you liked it.
Usually I love those badass, kinda anti-heroish but genius characters that don't really care what the world thinks of them. The ones that'd do everything in their power to reach their goal (mostly an altruistic goal), willing to sacrifice everything, even their own lives. Of course this has to be executed in a good way!! Also if I hate a character at first but his development and background story manage to change my mind, that character instantly gains points in my book.
For All-Might, well he is kind of the exception to this rule. While he is a badass, that's also willing to sacrifice his life, he is neither an anti-hero nor a genius. Also he would never trade lives or destroy his image as the symbol of peace.
However, he sets the bar for what being a hero means. He is a hero in his purest form. He is extremely charismatic, incredibly strong, quirky, righteous, a loving mentor but after all still human. He has a weak side, he is down-to-earth, he supports others, he cries, he laughs, he fails.
BNHA doesn't just show us the No.1 Hero All-Might, it shows us the whole human -Yagi Toshinori- which makes me really feel connected to him.
It managed to make me really feel how important this character is for this world, like no show before did.
I hope this answers suffices ^^
Belated greetings from the neighbouring Germany!
I mean it’s not identical, there are some pretty clear differences between the endings but yeah some things basically ended up the same in the end somehow. I was a bit disappointed but I think it was generally good for the majority of the story at least and that’s good enough for me
Weird thing is the manga eventually led back to a similar-ish conclusion despite all the criticism the anime got for its ending, which at that point in time was original content but then the manga later on almost made it canonical in its own sense. Never really understood what the purpose of that was, but the manga definitely deteriorated in its final arc too
Ah okay. Yeah I've only read the manga, skipped the anime since it has so much original storyline that I wasn't too hyped about the prospect. But I liked her in the manga at least
