Well...the first season of the anime isn't that heavy on the fanservice.

The second season on the other hand...

...But yeah, the manga is really, really good. A-1 Pictures butchered the original story with the first season, and raped it anally with the second season.

Just read your AoT review, and I just wanted to clear the misconception about the manga's art being terrible. It's only terrible in the parts that you already watched in the anime. Just continue from there since they're not much different anyway. The author has improved so much and especially in these recent chapters, the art is amazing.
