writing preliminary review for madoka is a sin, especially before ep 8, just finish it before writing review (actually this goes for all anime but especially for madoka specially)

In regards to your Yuu Yuu Hakusho review, i'd like to address why people who recommended it said it was great. The anime adaptation came out in the early 90s and at the time, it was considered searingly original, something not seen before. It rivaled Akira in popularity and is considered one of the pioneers in the field of modern day shounen. Obviously, the show was without flaws as it could be called an expedition into the unknown. Nobody knew what to expect but the authors delivered a masterpiece much to everyone's surprise. Many of the shounen shows nowadays have noticeable similarities to Yuu Yuu Hakusho and have improved on what the show had to offer. Personally I find it amazing that its influence still finds its way into modern shows. That is why when comparing it to more modern shows like HxH or BNHA, it seems like a typical shounen done wrong.
