Black Rock Shooter Ending Interpretation(Might forget).
Other world still exists. Currently peaceful due to most pain being shared and resolved through love. Also why the world has a rainbow colored sky.
Alter versions of the person; ex: Black Rock Shooter, Black Gold Saw, Strength, etc. will still fight in the future for their other self just in case. But currently they have nothing to do.
Reason why Yu's physical body did not age is because Strength took over. Strength brought her worldly power to the real world and has the power to wipe memories of those she meets. She most likely uses this power because her physical body does not age so she is stuck as a school girl.
Not all alter versions are as powerful as Black Rock Shooter. Some alters manifest as "little dolls", ex: Arata Kohata.

First time an anime makes it to my #2 favorite list without even completing it first.

Thanks for the great secret santa recommendations! I finished Arte and really enjoyed seeing her grow as a character, while also learning a bit more about different art techniques. It was cool seeing them actually take time to describe the process of preparing surfaces for painting, and mixing different paints.

I also watched To Be Hero, since I wanted to get that background info before I started To Be Heroine! It was a really bizarre show, but ended up being strangely wholesome towards the end. Just started on To Be Heroine the other day, but it's been slow going since I've decided to watch the 12 original Chinese episodes, and unfortunately there's only subs for the Japanese version.
