I agree, the whole system of rating reviews is twisted. If you're on an anime/manga's page, you're likely to be a fan of that series, and you're likelier than the average person to think so highly of it that anyone who doesn't like it has to be exterminated! I see so many good reviews being struck down, with "fanboy-friendly" reviews being raised in their place.
I think 20 eps of Ergo Proxy is enough to see where it's going (nowhere) and more than I'd task any sane person to watch and enjoy... :D
Thanks for the kind words on my review, so many people seem to vote people's reviews down just for the sake of doing so. I don't know what my reviews are doing wrong, it's almost enough to discourage me from writing more. :/
Hello and welcome to the Critics and Connoisseurs club.

I hope you enjoy your time being a member of the club, and please remember not to take anything we discuss and mention too seriously: we like to argue, debate and prove that the statement that we're supposed to be not elitist wrong. FML. Mal just ate my post. Arg. Now if I can remember what I was saying...
I really strongly associated long haired Eureka with my ex. Who has long before been associated with Eureka throughout the series...-laughs-
I'm not quite sure how I feel about using the same characters. I know Eureka for sure HAD to have been the same...but the supporting cast and perhaps even a few of the main characters I feel might have been better of being new or slightly different characters.
I read somewhere that the movie was supposed to appeal to both fans and newbies alike. I think in the end it somewhat alienated some fans and turned off newbies. 'though I know for sure it created a lot of new fans from the theatrical released in Cali.
The animation was fluid and awe inspiring. Then again everything Bones touches has that feel.
While I don't necessarily agree with your points on Yumekui Merry (factual as they may be, my enjoyment remains unchanged), that review was still a damn good read. Kudos to you.
