I've considered it, but I don't have any firm plans. At 40 volumes and counting, it's already twice as long as any manga I've ever read, and even those were a struggle for me to continue after volume 10 or so, no matter how much I enjoyed them. I haven't ruled it out as a possibility, but I think I would end up getting overwhelmed by its length and never finishing it. It looks like you have it on hold. Is what you've read of it as good as the anime?

lol I forgot about the friend activity tab. It's been the highest priority PTW for a very long time and I finally decided to start it on a whim. Very high potential to become my favourite anime, I love these kinds of stories

I’ve started it so many times, but I never manage get past the first few episodes. Then a year or two passes, and I forget what I’ve seen, so I watch them over again, only to repeat the same pattern. Maybe I just don’t have the attention span to watch these long series anymore. 😅

I wonder if that was the anime director's intention, to make Emil a sort of villain. Although, I think Emil hasn't even appeared in the novels so it wouldn't have made sense to give him a big role.

But yeah, I've rewatched the meeting between Yang and Rhard and Emil looks suspicious af. And it seemed even Yang didn't trust him either (because of the way he looked at the tea).

I liked it: everything was tied up nicely. I felt bad for Mittemeyer though

I was expecting Emil to be an undercover Terraist.
