STALKER thanks to it's euro-jank traits ends up bein quite absurdist but still thick in every layer of its tone, I find it a lot more harrowing than most games because of it. The trailer they showed at E3 was fantastic, I perked up a lot when I saw the strange guy just dancing around the room. I'm glad they seem to at least understand that in going into S2.

I watch a lot of those 2 YTers, they give really good advice. My strategy was just following a lot of 4chan, twitter and matt vs japan advice for a while which was sentence and vocab mining and reading/watching media. Thanks for the resources, I'll have to look into em whenever I actually get around to getting back to study but I'm glad youve found a good method for yourself. I think people overworry about efficiency or taking deep dives but when your learning a language intuitively like you do growing up, you just piece it together subconciously as you go along and thats honestly the best way to go about it, read what ya can and youll get there eventually kinda thing.

I've been pretty on and off with drawing myself, didn't know you drew but thats pretty cool. You should definitely keep at it, I feel a lot of people drop it too quickly (myself included). It's a skill with not as linear a line of progression as something like language learning so it's easy to get lost.

Rakugo Shinjuu was pretty peak, I like it's musings on age and periods a lot specifically and how people adapt and learn from them as well as generations. It's got a great tragedy angle at points as well, you can tell it's written by a very reflective blunt yet sentimental person. Really delightful show overall, enjoyed my time with it.

Ye the coastal trek in HL2 is the best part for sure, whole game is just consistently one hell of a ride tho. I've never played Metro but its always adjacent to stuff like STALKER but it looks much trashier, still wanna give em a go one day but I'd best be doing STALKER first. And ye I have the movie torrented, just need to get around to it.

yeah doing SRS through Anki with a core 2k/6k vocab deck as well as reading through Tae Kim's Grammar Guide. Sounds like youve found the best method, what people generally recommend for learning JP efficiently and enjoyably is doin SRS for a year or 2 just to hammer vocab in, reading through tae kim and consuming a fuck tonne of media with a text hooker or whatever so you can translate parts as you go along and maybe add em to ur SRS deck. I keep going to do this all and falling behind because of work, irl stuff or just getting distracted with no discipline lol. Good to hear youre reading Kino No Tabi tho, I adore it and really need to get back to the novels myself.

Sorry for the late reply, I forgot about your comment.

Ye, sadly I have yet to find anything like HL and STALKER but I'm pretty happy just replaying these endlessly. Outside of atmosphere I just really enjoy STALKERS more scuffle realistic gun fights and Half Life's adrenaline filled but still down to earth action gunfights. Nah I didn't side with any factions altho I want to on replay once I finish the others and yeah I'm pretty sure clear sky is full of that kinda tihng.

Yea, probably best tbh lol. Gacha's good for JP practice to some degree outside of all the technicaly terms but moege I've found to be a really good tool, hanahira is the one most people recommend for that kinda thing. Nah I've not studied JP for almost a year now, I think I learned like 1.5k words and a bit of grammar and just stopped because of work and laziness. I hope I get back to it someday but idk when that'll be at this point.

I'll add ya on discord altho funnily enough, I'm trying to use it less these days.

STALKER's probably my favorite FPS game I've ever played tied with Half Life 2 which I only just played in 2019. I really need to get to clear sky and call of pripyat before 2 comes out but yea, its brilliant and I adored every second of it, no issues whatsoever.

Well if you like Taimanin, it definitely stays true to it but its a pretty cheaply made gacha hack nd slash, fine to brainrot to but nothing super engaging. If you wanna look at girthy ladies and spam buttons with a weird rpg and gacha side to it all then it might be worth your time but its honestly pretty nothing. I get what I like out of Taimanin elsewhere in the VNs.

good shit man. actually got myself a HGUC of that very same Gouf Custom from that clip recently, as well as a RG Crossbone Gundam. the F91 movie is also very gorgeous and features some immaculate MS action

huge sucker for the RX-93 v Gundam piloted by Amuro in CCA. I want a kit for it badly, but I haven't been able to find any to my liking or at least reasonably priced. which kits have you been looking at?

hf with G Gundam btw

nice, good to know. Quattro is probably my favourite Char as well, but you still got The Origin to see if that still stands. hope you find the time to watch Char's Counterattack soon. personally not huge on that one, but it has its moments as well as my favourite mobile suit and I still consider it an important entry in the franchise

wish you the best fam. got holidays atm luckily, so mostly spending time through work

Thanks for accepting my request! :D

Yes, I also don't check them often for the exact same reason. It's a shame that our community is still full of prejudice when it comes to same-sex relationships (specially when they don't belong to the BL or GL genres). However, as I watched Yorimoi, I couldn't help but think that those two were an item.

It's just plain obvious (maybe because I'm a girl who likes girls as well) when you observe their interactions carefully. They had known each other for ages, Takako wanted Shirase to get closer to Gin, Shirase's father was completely erased from the narrative, Gin's suffering and guilt over Takako's death was shown many times throughout the show, Gin couldn't think of a guy who would be her type when the girls asked her, Kanae even referred to Shirase as Gin and Takako's daughter, and that last scene where Shirase gives Takako's computer to Gin was very symbolic to me. If Gin had been a guy, people wouldn't have doubted their relationship at all. They wouldn't say Gin and Takako were "just friends".

Sure, most of it is subtext, but just because they weren't shown kissing on screen, it doesn't mean it didn't happen or that it's not real. We both know people just don't want to acknolwdge it as they can't come up with counterarguments to our points.

Rip. My sleep schedule is pretty messed up too (only slept 2 hours today for reference lol).

Same for haing a ton of Fate fanart on my TL as well, it's really good so I don't even mind

Also, lmao

Yeah, pretty much when it comes to anime (finished Takagi-san with him too). During meals I tend to watch Drv3 (walkthrough), almost done with that (on chapter 5 out of 6) so maybe it'll free up some time for anime while I'm eating, I feel pretty bad that Aikatsu Stars ended for example and I got super behind on it, lol.

I mostly get it through Twitter, from the fanart especially (whatever show is getting the most fanart is usually pretty popular). I haven't gone on Kitsu in a while, lol. Did see Twitter buzz about After the Rain too, I watched artists go nuts over 002 /pink haired girl in Darling in the Franxx (even though Ichigo is way cuter.......If I was quick enough I'd do a fanart of her to balance out the way too many 002 fanarts, but I am way too busy with studies and ongoing vn fanarts as of rn/don't want to rush something out just to be ''relevant''). I watched a few episodes of the show and really didn't like it right from the start personally lol.

Also tyty for those sources, should be useful for me as well

I don't have much time to watch stuff myself nowadays, picked it up mostly because Redy wanted to watch it as well (been streaming it with him). Never heard of those last 2, guess I'll keep an eye out (I've been pretty out of the loop when it comes to most airing stuff recently outside of the shows that get a lot of buzz, lol).
It’s time to ditch the text file.
