How do i read ur novel ?
and how do i post a pic which should remain in the top of my posted things like u have done and also how do i write in blue .... thnx in advance

I actually haven't started posting chapters yet. But when I do, I'll be sure to let you know and tell you where to read it. :-)

For pictures, you find the image url (which is any web address ending in .gif, .jpg, .png, etc.), then you use BBCode where you want to post the image:

Blue is also done with BBCode: [color=blue]*insert text here*[/color]

Look at this if you still need help with BBCode: http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=398185

Haha, congrats! You've managed to send a message. :-)

However, for comments, rather than putting them on a box at the bottom of your comments, for me to see them on my page, there's a reply bottom at the bottom of my comment to you. Maybe I should've said that at the beginning. I'll revise my blog post inspired by you.

Why not try with this one?

Hey D-Keita,

I'm honored to be your first friend here. :-) MAL is a great place and I enjoy spending my time on this site. Yoroshiku!

Now, stuff about MAL, in case you really wanted to know how to get started:
[spoiler]

  • BBCode works basically everywhere here, can can really make your posts easier to read.
  • To get started, you should probably get a list layout, or at least a background, forum avatar, forum signature, etc. That way, even if you are new, you don't look like it. There's a lot of list/profile layout help out there, including Shishio's Custom Lists & Profiles.
  • Also, update your list ASAP. People like to see what you've seen and what you rate stuff.
  • Then, introduce yourself here. The Introductions Forum is a great place to meet new people. The people are really interesting, and from all over the world. Send them a comment or a message! Get the conversation flowing!
  • There's two ways to talk to other people one-to-one. Private messages and comments (which this is). You can only have up to 75 private messages stored in your inbox, so if you like to keep conversations, and you don't reveal any deep, dark secrets, I suggest you use comments, since they're unlimited and easy to access on your profile.
  • When you get a message or a friend request, it shows up as a "?" under the Profile drop-down menu. Don't be confused, haha.
  • In general, the forums are quite fun, except, as with any forum, they're full of trolls. Just ignore them. Head to the MAL wiki if you want humorous, but mostly trolling comments about people/discussions.
  • A characteristic of MAL forums is the fact that most people just post their opinion there and leave. Only a few people return to the threads, so MAL forums are great for getting the mass opinion on stuff, but not so great for actual discussions.
  • For actual discussions, try joining one of the clubs. They're quite fun and welcoming. I started the club Eintity. It'd be nice if you joined, but it's really not active (I'm thinking of starting it back up with a bang once we have 100 members, though).
  • MAL, of course, is a great place to keep track of anime and do research on anime you may want to watch. Each anime page has useful reviews (so you see whether the anime is actually good), and recommendations (that help you find other similar anime you may like).
  • I find the Stats tab at the top of each anime page useful; it helps me see which of my friends have seen the anime and what they rated it. If I have any questions about that anime, I also know who to ask among my friends.
  • However, outside of this site, there are a lot of tools that use your list to help you. Some of my favorites are Anime Advice (helps you find users with high compatibility and suitable anime) and MALGraph (gives statistics on your history, favorite genres, ratings). There are, however, the more obscure Anime Recommendation Finder and Anime Recommendations
  • There's a MAL App if you want to access your list on your phone.
  • Your panel is a beautiful place. It shows recent reviews and recommendations that can help you discover new shows, news, and friend birthdays. Wish people happy birthday! It's a nice thing to do.

Forum Guide:

  • The Announcements forum is when there's a site-wide event (for example, we have the Secret Santa event right now), and when there's a site problem, or when moderators are needed. It isn't very active.
  • The Anime/Manga Recommendations forum is my favorite forum, not only because it's a great place to get recs, but simply reading other posts helps me discover new shows.
  • However, if you need help identifying something, go here, rather than the Recommendations forum!
  • The Casual Discussion forum is an awesome place where you can talk about anything from philosophy to life experiences. There's the General Advice Thread there, if you dare risk asking people here for advice.
  • The News forum is great for finding upcoming anime to watch, and posting predictions/opinions.
  • If you're looking for strange/disturbing stuff going on in the world, it will probably be discussed in the Current Events forum.
  • The Forum Games forum is fun at first, but it gets really boring and repetitive. An interesting ongoing activity on MAL that's not part of Forum Games is Fantasy Anime League. If you like game-like stuff, you might like this instead.
  • Anime discussion is a great place to get people's general opinions on anime. If you're looking to discuss an ongoing series, each series has an episode discussion
  • Then there's the specialty forums like Creative Corner, for posting art/designs/stories, the Tech Forum, or the Music and Entertainment forum, etc. Post there when you want to discuss interesting, non-anime stuff.

If you have any questions after all that, feel free to ask. As friends, talk to me anytime! I hope you enjoy MAL.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
