First I should introduce my self -- I go by the name of Chibi (sometimes Ochibi) online. In the real world my name is Emily, or just Em for short. The internet nicknames also have been used offline by some of my close friends but I digress..
I'm 25 years old and I absolutely LOVE anime and manga. Ever since I stepped into this world, I've been getting sucked in further and further with no chance of escaping haha I don't think there's any chance of me losing the love I have for the community or the fandom. Anime conventions are a great way to see the other side of my personality. Normally I'm a quiet person with little words to say, but when I walk into a convention with other fans, I'm a rambunctious person with a lot of energy. I don't know if it's the atmosphere or what, but I wish I was like that everyday and not just at cons. I need that kind of influence back home lol
In my spare time I enjoy drawing, crafting (plushies, sculptures and cosplay) I also love playing with all my pets. I have two dogs (a pit bull mix and a Dachshund - Angel and Zoe respectively), an iguana (Tobi), a fish (Ace) plus two Betta fish.
When reality sets in, I do go to college. I'm trying to graduate from a community college in hopes of going to a school where I can get veterinary assistant training. I wanted to be an animation artist, but as I thought about it, drawing is only a hobby to me. You can't really live on a salary of an animation artist either. Not unless you aim for the big movies and stuff. That's not what I wanted to do though. Also, the style of animating I wanted to do is disappearing and being taken over by 3-D films so that's also another reason.
I guess that about covers anything there is to know about me. Not much going on in my life currently. Just living day to day.. not really an exciting life, but it's not terrible either.
