Yo. I'm kind of a recluse, but I do respond to messages.

Behold, I am a human who rates anime! All of my scores are based on how the show makes me feel; I'm not a critic or reviewer.
I use what is effectively a 2-to-9 scale. 1s and 10s aren't even considered except for very special cases.
I consider 6.5 to be "average." Most shows are better than 5/10.
10 - Transcendent
This score doesn't exist; it's just a myth, a fairy tale. My rating system treats 9 as the highest possible score, with 10 reserved for scale-breakers.
9 - The Pinnacle
Basically an extended favorites list. I put shows here that I consider to be the best of their respective genres, or simply the ones I enjoyed the most out of everything I've watched. The undefeated champs.
8 - Extra Credit
These anime are of excellent quality and/or do something very unique. Either way, they deserve recognition. This rating is home to a lot of heavy hitters, and is where "perfect" shows begin to appear in my list.
7 - Solid Entertainment
The level of quality I expect when going in blind. Easily recommended, easily rewatchable. This is where my "pet" shows start to appear. Don't underestimate 'em! Letter grade: A-B.
6 - Flawed but Still Enjoyable
The highest score that's allowed to have major flaws. Generally kinda trash, but I still have positive feelings toward these shows. Easily recommended to certain people, but not most. The lowest passing score, but keep in mind that it IS a passing score.
5 - Neutral
Mediocre. Neutral enjoyment. These shows are either boring, have no real substance, or are perfectly balanced between good and bad. I typically don't care much about them one way or the other, but apathy isn't exactly a good reaction for entertainment, so this is the highest failing score.
4 - Not Enjoyable
There may be some good elements, but I didn't enjoy the experience as a whole.
3 - I Strongly Dislike It
I never want to see these again, no chance of redemption.
2 - I Hate It
Thoroughly upsetting and rant-worthy.
1 - Insulting
The whole show is a big "f--k you" to the viewers and any immediate family they may have. No wonder aliens don't visit us.
lol Hope you didn't mind me leaving a comment, but I enjoyed reading your post. Sometimes the things we pick up on a whim can turn out to be some of the best ones. I'm glad you enjoyed it so much, and I need to get more volumes of it myself. The price certainly does add up, so if possible I'd see if you can find any second-hand stores with a manga section or try to get a bunch during the holiday sales at online stores. I have collected a decent bit of physical manga, but haven't had the money lately to add to it much. I'd guess I personally own somewhere in the ballpark of about 80 volumes, maybe more. Hope you're having a good start to the week and enjoy more MonMusu soon! ^_^
Yesssir hope you get around to it eventually! It's definitely gotta be Shigeshoushi for me, but honestly those two are such incredibly different stories sooooo if it's the friend that likes Bloom Into You, not sure if he's gonna like Shigeshoushi.
Well, the journey's gonna be worth it in the end isn't it? At least ya got a light at the end of the tunnel.
Man they're just all THAT good, oh he has a good eye. It's probably my second favorite romance manga. I think you definitely should start with the anime then read the manga from the beginning, both are very different experiences visually but its so worth watching the show for its amazing visuals and music.
Ooooh I see I see good luck man. Oh dude I'd love to just blow my money on a bunch of physical manga but sadly gotta stick with online for the time being :( what have you bought so far?
Ahhh i see, yes the game is actually quite fun to play. I played red with my friends then i had to face the elite four, got up to gary and was stuck for 2 hrs then quit for a while.
Well nothing much has changed, just trying to manage myself in school with difficult classes coming to a close.

I'd say Houseki no Kuni, Sangatsu no Lion, and Bloom Into You are ones I absolutely wanna own.
