As an update to my previous comment below I will proudly mention that I thought Baccano! was excellent from him, especially when considering how nicely he handled the characters and situations.
Also, Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori was definitely worthy, as it had situations that inspired critical thinking from myself.
Natsume Yuujinchou was good too, it shows that he still has plenty of ability to spare.
And let's not forget the four other series I mentioned in my first comment, in which I heartily recommend them all.
Here's hoping for another good season of Yuujinchou! ^_^

Hell Girl was amazing. I'm interested in what he did in Baccano!. I hear it's an amazing anime, and I'm eager to see it.
Is it me, or does this guy like doing anime series with a large amount of characters, instead of a few main ones?

An overlooked talent and one of my personal favorite directors! ^_^
My favorite works from him are Hyper Police, Fancy Lala, Koi Kaze, and Gakuen Alice. His material has characters that I can really relate with, and the circumstances are surprisingly practical when given the unusual circumstances.
On another note I hope to see all of Baccano!, Hell Girl, and Natsume Yuujinchou as of this writing.
