The mc's of these seinens are known for their talent with a gun, as well as a certain uh physical trait they have in common that they are infamous for, one of them has the street name Dual Pistols if that tells you. Both mc's are both also on the perverted side. The personalities of the mc's and the guy being teamed for work with a female partner are also similar. These are a good for readers who enjoy mature seinen manga with plenty of action, crime and eechi.

The main characters are pretty similar with both of them being lecherous perverts who act like clowns, but secretly capable in their own fields ("sweeping" for Ryo and making curry for makito), always surprising others with their surprising skills. Also both of them are comedy romance - with the comedy rather similar to each other. Although differing in plot they have a similar feel to them. Recommend try reading both.

Both mangas are similar in the way that each "missions" are acceted only/mostly if the victim is a girl. Both main characters are womanizer, but if Clamp Gakuen Tanteidan targets a young public, City Huner targets an older public (teenagers/young adults).

both have detectives as main characters. conan is more serious, whereas city hunter is more comedic

Both are pretty long manga created in the 80’s by Tsukasa Hojo, and share the same genres (action, comedy, police, romance). <br/> While City Hunter revolves around a detective’s life style, Cat’s Eye is about thieves.

Since Saru Lock's story consists of its titular lead repeatedly saving well-drawn, busty ladies (and never getting laid) in the hope of sleeping with them, how can I not compare the two? Ritsuko doesn't have Kaori's hammer from City Hunter but it's already been made obvious that, despite Saru's perverted failings, he's destined to only get it on with the girl closest to him. Saru's a virgin/midget/not hunky, unlike Ryo, but if anything that makes Saru Lock more enjoyable. It gets boring following the antics of a Superman after awhile, and Saru's room for growth makes the action exciting and his development more interesting. Definitely recommended to  read more
