A combination of 1st place award winners, #1 bestsellers and other BL manga that received top accolades between the years 2015-2019. Some manga pre-date this time frame but are included if they won an award or topped a list during one of these years. The cream of the yaoi crop!   Most BL manga are very short and focus on the relationship of the main characters and one or a few problems that arise. This stack covers stories that are longer and where the focus is not so much on the typical relationship problems but also include non-relationship related plot. In some of these manga it's more BL subtext while the main focus is on something else.   This stack is a collection of BL manga with a darker setting. It includes psychological themes, dark pasts, underground settings, prison locations, dark fantasy/magic, and other things. The focus is less on the most disturbing stories but more on the overall setting, though some stories here are more messed up than others. Content warning: Some of these manga contain triggering elements like r*pe, abuse, torture, violence, blood, etc.  BL I’ve completed and enjoyed reading. All of these manga are stuff I have reread multiple times. BL mangas that imo have beautiful, splendid and captivating art, whether in the official art, cover and chapters.   these are only my opinion   Click clack...   As much as some yaoi with the typical older seme and effeminate much smaller uke can have great stories, cute, passionate or endearing, I more often prefer them with mature, adult-looking pairs and partners. GBT male appearance can certainly be a range, but for manga and yaoi, mature pairs are underrepresented in my opinion. So here are some of my favorites I've completed, am reading or plan to read that involved mostly "mature pairings".   just beautiful art from BL stuff that's candy for my eyes, nothing to do with whether the story is good or bad (because i'll admit there's some bad ones here)  semes ranging from easily jealous to obsessive/possessive to full blown yanderes :3 |
