Synopsis

Arika Togawa doesn't understand why she has fallen in love with her classmate, Takamori Matsubue. She hardly knows him. Together they decide to find out how two strangers can fall in love.

Discommunication starts out just about perfectly, it has a perfect series of vignettes where it uses magic to show things being more intimate than is ever possible. The art is very dense when it wants to show off the supernatural. It is a strange romance that works well in ways that struggle to be described in words. If this sort of abstract deeply intimate love sounds interesting, I highly recommend it, I deeply enjoy it. Oh, how I would love to have myself a weird occult boyfriend who takes me on various life-threatening adventures~~

I found myself liking thing manga more than I originally thought I would. The whole concept of it really interested me. The art style of the manga had its own type of charm to it that I loved. The manga took a very interesting turn near the middle of it, which was honestly a bit tiring for someone like me who just wanted to see the two of them together, but it was still super engaging.

I discovered this manga from a video on youtube that talked about ookumo chan flashback and i fell in love with it even though i only read the first volume (6 chapters) because of a lack of translated content.

the hyper detailed art filled with religious symbolism from shintoism, hinduism, buddhism and other occidental and oriental ideologies and religions looked super cool, you could make a wallpaper with every page of the manga.

the story made me relate a lot, since i'm a bit of shaman weirdo myself i've convinced a lot of friends and girlfriends to make weird rituals with them. also i love the Riichi ...
