Synopsis

A tengu is an utterly proud and arrogant creature (so much that the Japanese saying, "to become a tengu," means to preen conceitedly) that is said to steal young children away from their homes. In this story, the fractured and disgraced remnants of the tengu species come together from all over the country to rise up, reclaim their pride, and rule over the nation of Japan, as is their right. What kind of effect will the "Tengu Party" have on the humans of Japan, and more importantly, what exactly makes a tengu?

my review is at an outstanding level.i have rated this through the perspective of someone who appreciates the art of manga and more obscure titles.if your looking for something unique this is most excellent.its revolves around the mythical figure tengu, if your a fan of japanese myth this is also a plus.the story is subtle and mysterious so the re read value is high.artwork is different then the typical big eyes big boobs esoteric outfit anime.highy recomend!

Somewhat similar in terms of narrative style and plot. In both series the emphasis is on characters and Somewhat similar in terms of plot (politics, conspiracy to overthrow/build a new government) and their emphasis on characters and dialogue. The diegetic worlds of both series are well defined (based on real life but with fantasy/mythological elements added in case of Japan Tengu Party and alternate history developments in National Quiz). Art in both series is distinct and original, with Tengu Party being more on the artsy side.
On overall if you enjoyed one I am quite sure that you should like the other. And if you don't know neither, in my opinion they should satisfy the more discerning readers.
