It's hard to picture something I use to be fond of be turned into a heaping pile of horse poop. How something with great direction and characterization turns into an insipid delusional drama fest is beyond me. As previously stated, the writing for the series went all over the place 50 chapters in, and now at the end of it, where has that direction gone? It's puzzling because the ending ... was clearly axed, ending in the middle of production. What does that say about the writing of the series? The mangaka did not know where to go with the story and it really showed, chapters with little significance and progress, character traits that were never seen etc.

The biggest problem I had with the final chapters is how much it deviated from the roots of the webtoon. The direction the story took was a slice of life drama that DID NOT include any fighting. cuz y'know, Wild's is known for fighting. Instead Jaegu, the main protagonist, became a self loathing depressed existence that offered nothing to anyone else's problems. Arguably, this fits his characterization from the beginning, but there's this thing called character development and when readers are 260 chapters in, we expect that to be a given. Apparently not. Ingui had little to do with the story in the 2nd half, most of her time is spent away from the setting, yet the story still revolved around Jaegu's lingering thoughts for her. huh???? Many more things happened between chapters 220-255, but due to the inevitable axed ending, none of that could ever be used for a reference (imouto-like character). Overall, this was a hard webtoon to finish through and through. It's shifts in tone are incredibly rushed, pacing is inconsistent, and characters lose a lot of the charm that made readers want to follow the story. An incredible disappointment, Girl's of the Wild's falls into the category of "to live doesn't mean your alive."

But a shoutout to Daldal, her character had a lot of personality, characterization held up right to the end, and her internal conflict was endearing and complicated, making her relatable. It's a given but even in this series, the best girl always finishes last.

Original Review:

How many of us has grown up with the struggle and see others who flaunt their wealth? This theme of commoner vs aristocrat is portrayed throughout a lot of media and it works well because it is something relate-able and issues we see throughout the world today. It's not deep with this story, but there are elements of it and it drives the story. At least for the first few chapters.

The story throughout the first 30 chapters is very well written, with awesome development of the situation our protagonist is in. The way it was going seemed like it was going to be a really deep story filled with personification of wealth vs poor. Unfortunately it deviates from that and becomes quite a boring read, with no sense of direction and switches tone from serious to something I can't even describe. I initially didn't look at the genre's but after the first 30 chaps it was definitely working up to a action/romance with yaknow ACTUAL genuine romance and relationships but nah nah. It really falls off and leaves the reader wondering what he/she just read.

This may sound like a broken record already, but throughout the first 30 chapters, each character has a sense of purpose to be in the story. Great characterization comes along with our main protagonist and his backstory fleshes everything out making him someone inspiring to readers, someone to root for, someone to sympathize with, and above all, relatable. However, he slowly falls into an anime/manga trope character where hes dense and has a sense of "great" justice. The main female characters are without a doubt, badass and it really sets them a part from a lot of females in the anime/manga. They are handled properly, until chapter 30 where they begin to fall victim of tropes and sexualized. Later into the series, an introduction of a boatload of characters doesn't make it any better either as they follow the similar pattern of being reduced to common archetypes.

Art is fantastic for the most part, this is the first time I'm reading this sort of manga. Color makes everything seem alive and character designs are distinct. Action is very solid, showing us the good stuff as this is a martial arts story. I don't know if it's just me but the character designs seem to change as the story progresses, which makes me feel some sorta way and it isn't positive.

This manga is the definition of good elements gone wrong, squandered potential. So many things that made it good started getting disregarded and the lack of direction of the story really hinders it from being a favorite of mine. It is a fun read, good eye candy, but there is just so much the writer could've expanded upon, instead we are left with a sloppy landfill.

1 day after writing this review, I caught up to the latest chapter as of december 10th. While the story picked back up near chapter 170~, events leading up to that are still very redundant. It is unacceptable for 100 chapters to be used without any sense of direction and therefore retains the same score I originally gave it.

Girls of the Wild's. What an amazing series.

To begin with, I was drawn in by the fact each page is artistically beautiful, in full-color. The art is some of the best I've seen for a Manhwa. From the facial expressions, down to the panning scenery... simply fabulous.

"Girls of the Wild's" follows Song Jae Gu's day-to-day life after joining an elite high school for champion fighters. When he's not being chased down by the maniacal women in his class, he works as a car washer and primary carer for his identical siblings. After spilling coffee on 'Queen', the literal Queen of the Ring, she challenges ... him to fight her in the school's main event - Wild's League.

Realizing her mistake, and knowing she cannot withdraw the challenge, her lacky Moon Young Lee trains him to be a champion, with a little help from some other eccentric girls.

The story itself seems typical - one weakling guy, surrounded by mysterious, beautiful and dangerous girls, struggling to get by. But, it soon becomes so much more than that. You begin to fall for the characters, feel their heart-ache and cringe along with them in their embarrassing moments.

It's a great story with a lot of emotion as Song Jae Gu fights not only rabid girls and punk bullies, but with his inner demons.

Seriously, give it a read. This series has now joined my top 10!

"Girls of the Wild's" is the epitome of failed potential, where the story starts out kind of interesting, because the fundamentals are certainly there. However, as the chapters go on the quality drops considerably, with visible lack of imagination and development. Becoming even worse than most generic Harem stories, even if you exclude the usual problems that come with the general stereotypes, deviating far away from the original concept for no reason - the competitive fighting as means of change, to build up courage and strength.

Story: The young student Song, Jae-gu works half-day to feed himself and his two small siblings. Since he's up to ... his neck in trouble and problems, the financial situation just about the same, without much choice left he immediately reaches for a school to become a free student. What he did not know is the fact that until last year this prominent and well-known school has been a pure girls' fighting school, which includes the wildest of girls in the nation, speaking through fists, literally..

Characters: The MC, Jae Gu, is the equivalent to a walking vagina, he's in fact more girly than the female characters in every aspect, be it behaviour, paralanguage or train of thoughts. There's no real goal, the main character is devoid of dreams, and just living for his small siblings. He never or rarely does anything out of his own volition. The one thing that probably describes him the best, he's constantly wallowing in self-pity, and I'm sadly not exaggerating. This guy was indeed a natural born punching bag, mainly thanks to his attitude and victim mentality, him being bullied is something like a matter of fact.

The girls have to force him to every little thing, I've seldom seen a character who's a greater wuss than Jae Gu, and this goes on for 260 chapters without any genuine character development or serious self-reflection about the 'why', the reason for his bad treatment in the present and past. Nearly all characters are often behaving in an illogical and incomprehensible way, beyond belief and reason, where you're seriously questioning their mental health. One often gets the feeling that the author pulls things out of nowhere for the sake of convenience or lack of creativity, to justify the weak and mediocre story-telling, without ever going to the root of the problems.

Enjoyment: Joy? Yeah sure.. the joy of finishing this piece of crap. I always try my best to keep a neutral point of view when evaluating something, basing the opinion on facts. But I'll be honest, I felt so offended and hateful in regard to most of the characters that I'd to pain myself through the last chapters, and I don't even mean the bad guys. The 'end'-chapter of the story was the biggest joke I've seen in a while, far-fetched and not one bit conclusive, nothing was really resolved. The entire Manhwa feels like a cheap Korean drama, with bland, cardboard cut-out characters.
The only positive and mentionable trait is the art and outer character design.

I was firstly reluctant to write a review for "Girls of the Wild's", but I wanted to warn people who are searching for unique and exceptional stories, or great reading treats in general. Don't bother yourself with the Manhwa, and waste your precious time like I did, it's to the point where I want to sue the author for wasting my time..

It is a man’s fantasy to always protect the woman of his dreams. Similarly, it is a woman’s fantasy to be princess carried by the man of her dreams. We all have wanted this feeling, but what struggle will we face to achieve this feeling? Girls of the Wild show determination to achieve what was thought impossible to a beautiful possibility.

This was the first manhwa I have read and I was amazed by the effort put into Girls of the Wild. I am an average manga reader and I have recently started catching up to manga. I do love the style of manhwa having everything ... beautifully made and colored. I have a good experience on anime and wanted to expand to manga. While I was reading Girls of the Wild, I am certain that I couldn’t stop reading this. I wanted more and more.

Having to be the first boy in a newly co-ed school. There ought to be no problems right? Song Jae Gu is just your average high school boy. Jae Gu wanted to attend to a school closest to his house, but Wild’s high is the only option. Not only that, but he got a scholarship there. Why waste a scholarship? As Jae Gu enters his first day of school, life couldn’t get any more difficult. You could probably guess that misfortune struck Jae Gu. He somewhat encountered ‘Queen’ and caused a commotion. Jae Gu didn’t mean to, but he wanted to do what he can to graduate.

Before I start, Jae Gu’s life is hard. Be prepared for some feels. Jae Gu has to take care of his brother and sister since his parents abandon them. Not only that, but Jae Gu is poor and struggles to survive every day. Jae Gu hardly has any support. Since he doesn’t have support, he has a part time job at a car wash to earn money. Jae Gu tries to balance his school life and his outside life in order to take care of his siblings. This is not what an average high school student should face. I was depressed when I found out about this, but this is what makes the story good. It goes back to the topic of determination. Jae Gu didn’t give up on life, yet he strives to do what it takes. As Jae Gu enters Wild’s High, he also met people who he thought was a nuisance. He learned that it is impossible to graduate without a club. Not only that, but the principal waged an offer that whoever could ‘get’ Jae Gu passes all academics. As he journeys through Wild’s high, he learned a great deal to receive support.

The story may seem cliché (I’m talking about you Infinite Stratos and Rosario Vampire). The plot is somewhat having girls protect you. If you have seen those two anime or read the novel/manga, you would have a good understanding of Girls of the Wild. What those three have in common is a man who wants to become stronger in order to protect what is precious to him. Wild’s high is a school where you see the strongest fighters gather. Most of the graduates obtained high class jobs. There is also the Wild’s League, where the best fight for a title. We have to see the journey for what it takes to achieve that. This goes to determination as we see Jae Gu make his way to the top.

The art style is clear and it is beautiful. I haven’t been awed this much when I read this manhwa. It is colored, it is well drawn, and there are good facial expressions. Not only that, but some of the girls are pretty cute and they have their unique aspects. I was able to grasp that this manwha is definitely good after the first chapter.

If you are interested in romance, action, harem and comedy, you should read Girls of the Wild. The enjoyment level is quite high I would say. I would love to have a princess protect me until I am strong enough to protect her. This is goal that a man should always accomplish. Will Jae Gu be strong enough to protect his friends?

I was not so into Manhwa titles before and I just started going through Manhwa with Noblesse and Girls of the Wild's (GotW). This really pulled me into it. The more I read, the more it drew me into it. Finished it in 1 day straight.

This is not such a stuff where you expect ecchi content although I was thinking if it is something like that in he beginning. But then slowly started liking this more and more. At times, mainly after the first 200 chapters, I felt the frequency of fights diminished and I could not figure out why was it like that. But, ... then I understood what the author was doing here. While the first approximate 200 chapters deal with more fights and lesser romance, the later half of the manhwa deals with lesser fights and much more emotional content. I will not say anything that would spoil the story or content for you guys and girls. But, I can say one thing; when I was about to start the final chapter, I felt tears in my eyes. After finishing, I felt that the ending could have been a bit better but still, it was worth it. It was something that I had wished for and I was satisfied to my heart's content.

There will be haters and there will be people rating it less and that's because interests vary from one person to another. But trust me, I can promise you one thing; once you get yourself into this manhwa and complete reading it, you will feel very contended and happy at heart. Thank you again for writing such a piece of art.

I have just rushed through the 260 chapters in a week, so maybe my point of view is blurred.

Welcome to an ex all girls school. Jaegu, the now head of his family (that is just him and his twin siblings), has received an scholarship and is the only boy there. The whole chasing after him starts from the moment that a new curricular item is announced: the girls that approach him the better will get better grades. Besides all the excitement of having a boy around, the Wild's high life gets a turn around when the Queen bee of theirs gets further involved with the ... guy.
From some point it gets obvious how Queen-ie bee and Jaegu the dork fall with each other. Obviously there are too many people there falling for their charms to leave them be and the arranged marriage.
Ps.: don't be fooled here, DalDal and MoonYoung made almost all the funny pieces here, with just the Dumb Couple here this would be no good.

Anyway, how it is a fighting school there are a lot of fighting. Every week or so they find a bully or a thief, these kind of mess with the whole romance/harem thing that is going on sometimes.
Stuff get awkward after the Jeju Island arc. It was very nice and catching before this trip and them just BUM, the main characters fall in a kinda depression and confusion syndrome.
What made me actually mad was not the depression, confusion, i'm-fine-with-them-being-okay thing.
The problem is the ending. The author could have used it as a hanger, ended with them having that date they never had or something. But [*SPOILER HERE BABES*] she just end in a downward sorta kick on a purse thief after telling him to wait there. Im still hanging here, hun. Just finish that kick and finally kiss him good.

So mad about the ending that it went from a 9 to a 6 or 7

Girls of The Wild’s is an action-packed romance manhwa that shows fights of all kinds. From boxing to kick-boxing to sword fighting. Our main protagonist, Jae Gu, is transferred to a female school just turned co-ed and specializing in the various forms of combat. Not only is it a problem that all the women are stronger than him, he isn’t exactly fond of women. In his past, is a traumatic event that led him to dislike all women. Now that he goes to a school where he’s essentially surrounded by women, what will he do?

The story follows Jae Gu as he slowly but surely becomes ... used to women. There’s another problem though, he’s weak, so he’s been bullied his whole life. With the help of 3 of the top strongest girls in Wild’s High School, he learns how to box. As of late, he’s still pretty weak compared to everyone else, but he definitely has his bad-ass fighting moments. Most of the action comes from the 3 girls: Queen, Dal Dal, & Moon Young. There’s tournaments, people who just wanna fight them, & random criminals they encounter in the streets. They’re all extremely strong so the fights tend to be one-sided slaughters. However, every once in a while, there is a worthy opponent who makes the fights a little bit more interesting. Each fight, regardless of who their facing, is always a pleasure to watch. Girls can definitely satisfy your need for action.

Girls of the Wild’s isn’t all about fighting and action. There’s drama and romance too. Jae Gu actually lives alone with 2 younger siblings. In order to feed them, he has to work a part-time job where he doesn’t come home until late at night. Sometimes there’s conflict between Jae Gu and the siblings and the siblings sometimes get caught in dangerous situations. Rest assured, it always ends in really heart-warming moments and there’s plenty more where that came from. They cheer Jae Gu on during fights and tell him, how thankful they are for everything he’s done. I should probably check if I have diabetes because it’s just too sweet man.

The drama isn’t limited to Jae Gu, every character has a problem of their own. Be it they can’t win, there’s too much pressure on them, etc. It’s good that the manhwa can offer us more than just adrenaline.

In terms of romance, I guess you could say it starts off as a harem. Queen, Dal Dal, & Moon Young are romantically interested in Jae Gu. In the beginning anyways. They’re introducing guys to narrow it down to one girl. One of them has already found someone else and another one is fairly close to meeting the same fate. Jae Gu is a blockhead though, so even if it comes down to one girl, it’ll still take a while before anything happens between them.

Comedy is quite abundant. There’s a few running gags and they never fail to make me laugh. Also Dal Dal & Moon Young are always bickering and insulting each other. They have one of the best relationships in the manhwa. I’m sure you’ll get a lot of laughs out of Girls of the Wild’s.

The story has its flaws. It can get slow and it’s relatively predictable. Plot twists aren’t one of the story’s strong points. Besides that though, the story is entertaining.

The art is good. The fight scenes are drawn well and the characters have unique and appealing designs.

There’s not that many characters to hate in this story. They’re all interesting and special in their own ways. Jae Gu is a hardworking & caring guy. I just wish he was a little stronger and less dense. He doesn’t provide enough action and just can’t get a clue even when the girls are openly affectionate. As for the girls, they’re nothing special when it comes to personality, but thank god, they’re not damsels in distress. Having girls who can stand their ground is so wonderful. The rest of the characters are cool too like Jae Gu’s younger siblings. They’re so adorable, they relieve your stress. There’s also the 3 guards of Wild’s High who come in when situations like fights breaking out occurs. Whenever they come out, you just can’t help, but be excited by the fact that someone’s about to be destroyed.

All in all, Girls of The Wild’s is slow in progress but is an enjoyable manhwa with good art, drama, comedy, romance, and action.

Well this is my first review, I hope you can find it useful.

The set up for the story is great. The Characters are well drawn out and have, well, character. Well, keeping those in mind, lets continue to the ratings.

Story: 1/10
As i said previously the set up is great and it even continues to be great for a while, then the worst thing that could ever happen to a story happens, the author forgot the main plot. The guy set up to be the main character is no longer relevant and is replaced constantly.

Art: 7/10
As far as art is concerned it's actually well drawn.

... Characters: 9/10
The characters personalities are independent and radiant while making you want to learn more about them. They just don't have much in the way of development. Also when they do develop it happens so fast that you cant tell what happened. With all that in mind the characters do start off really strong so thats why i gave this category a high rating.

Enjoyment: 1/10
There is none. unless you are a masochist that loves getting let on into a great story just to have your hopes and dreams crushed infront of your very eyes.

Overall: 1/10
If they had stuck to the plot the author could have made and easy 10/10 story but they didnt and i regret to inform you that they killed their own story for fun.


Recommendation: Just keep looking for your next good read and forget you saw this page.

As far as webcomics go, this relase was a pleasant surprise.

The story is a breath of fresh air, with a little bit of unusual setting. Even tho' the characters are not all that originally dveloped, the flow of the story is very nice. There are many funny moments as well as suspending action. I liked it espeially because it shows the struggles one needs to face in order to change (for the better).

The art is very beutiful, you will surely be mesmerized. The author captured everything, from emotion in characters to the smallest detail in background.

Defininte plus is also that it is being uploaded quite ... regularly, which is not always the case with webcomics.

Overall, I'd really recomend this to anyone with little time on their hands :)

It started off very good, had tremendous potential, however it's become to me a complete waste of time now.

First, I was caught into this series because of the incredible artwork, which caught my eye right away. For once we had an Artist that didn't always utilized the annoying "Chibi" or super cute and petite styles for the central female characters.

Queen who is the Central Female character in this series is Tall, Beautiful, Slender, Fit which is NICE to see in today's Generation of Mangas. She actually looks like a Qualified Woman, which is Incredibly Appealing To Me (since I'm from the Old School ... Generation).

The only reason why I don't give this a Solid 10 in artwork is because at times you can clearly see that the artist was getting lazy and hastily drew the characters and chapters.

For the story however the MC started off with a shy, timid and weak minded mental capacity which slowly shifted once he started studying Martial Arts to not only bolster his fighting capability but his mental fortitude.

Throughout his tenure he would meet the other female protagonist, particularly Queen and through it they would delve into what you would call, at a least a friend relationship.

However the direction of the story itself has fallen apart with what seems like almost no direction anymore. Their "used" to be fighting however that has dipped with numerous long chapters involving complete nonsense that did nothing to push the story nor give more development to characters.

It's starting to feel like those boring long drawn out Korean Dramas however in many cases much worse due to the fact that we have 240+ chapters and almost no Significant Strides have happened, which is nonsense.

If you're a fan of great artwork than Girl the Wild's has that with some incredibly animated shots, especially those involving fights however if you're looking for a well developed story than I suggest you don't look here.

My review may change of course IF things improve however as it stands, I cannot recommend it with the lack of any development involving GTW.

Girls of the wild's, one word to describe it, AWESOME. It shows that sometimes girls are sometimes better than men. The main character gets offered a scholarship to an all girl's school which just became co-ed. Thinking it was his chance of a lifetime to not only get a good education but to also support his younger brother and sister because their mother abandoned them and their father had passed away. Little does he know that it was not a normal high school. It was a unique high school that hosted a tournament called Wild's-League, a brutal place where high school girls fight with martial ... arts and fight with their lives. The main character is chosen(forced) to join the tournament.
Will he survive??

I feel like most of the reviews on the MAL page for Girls of the Wild's give new-comers a misconception that this manhwa is either amazing, or extremely enjoyable. This is true to a certain extent, but it really fell into the gutter and it's decided to keep on dragging along in filthy water on instead of pulling itself back out. Due to that, if you're either interested in this review or are contemplating reading Girls of the Wild's, read on, my friend.

I've dropped things that I've given a rating of 7, so it's easy to believe that because I gave this a 5, I ... must not like it. This isn't true at all. I've simply been pissed off at it as of recent.

Girls of the Wild's started off as a mix of a power fantasy and a well-done, albeit a bit cliche, martial arts-themed romance/action/comedy. The main character is a very poor, likable guy with two cute younger siblings that he lives alone with and must take care of. In order to take care of his cutesy younger siblings and live on himself, he works a lot, and because he absolutely needs to save money, he accepts a scholarship to attend an all-girls school that just went co-ed. This school, for some reason or another, was giving scholarships to males that applied, and Jaegu, our protagonist, is the only one who did it. He does this without doing any research on the school, and after entering into it, finds out that all the girls there are a bit nutty, and that the school stands out heavily from other schools because it's known as a school that produces top-class fighters and martial artists.

Enter some more characters, as well as some flashy romance and fight scenes that are fueled by the character's drive to better himself. The feeling you get at this point in the manhwa is that it's going to be a well-progressed romance with some good main characters backing it up, operating under the guise of a martial-arts incorporated high school life that strengthens and deepens the character's personalities.

It would've been, or rather, it was, until it went off the deep end. Something happened, and I'm not sure what, but the first 70 chapters (around there) were pretty decent until another 140 chapters appeared, filled with senseless babbling and the author's failed attempts to flesh out side characters that really weren't that interesting in the first place. Forget about interesting though, because these characters don't actually add anything in the first place. It's okay though isn't it? We still have the fight scenes, right?

No, but we have some court-based sports matches about how martial artist girls suck at sports until halfway through the match when they've gotten enough of a feel of said sports, and then become professionals. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I saw the main character in a fight that actually means anything. I can't even remember the last time I saw him training, so I hope his body doesn't turn to jelly.

The art, at the very least, is good. It's not amazing in any way, and recently it hasn't been showing it's full powers, but some chapters have some pretty great art, especially of the characters expressing different emotions or showing how bad-ass they are.

Despite the recent slowness of this manga, I've stuck with it for quite a while now in hopes that it does something interesting again, and I'm happy to see that, without revealing anything, the latest chapter was actually pretty good. We might have a revival on our hands here. It's still much too early to tell, but if you're willing to go into that gutter yourself and read 140 chapters of boring characters and side plots, hopefully the old Girls of the Wild's will make a comeback.

this one have a typical shounen story... even if there's a romance, it's very light... and since it's kinda like a harem the romance scene sometimes change to a comedy scene lol :D but over all, this is a really an amusing webtoon. The story is quite fun, usually i hate shounen but this one is kinda different.
each chapter always end in a cliffhanger, which make the readers always waiting for the update... the male lead progress is kinda slow tho, when he get strong. suddenly the author will make it like he still need a lot of improvement. typical shounen... (don't know when it'll ... be end... that's why i hate it)

This is the most appalling thing I have ever read in recent memory. I usually only read things base on the top manga list, having enjoyed two manhwa lately, I decided to try this one. It was a great mistake. The art was great but the plot and characters make me feel physically sick. It was like watching a beta male's fantasy, the guy has no personality whatsoever besides being submissive, not liking women, loving his siblings and being swarm by girls because of it (Why do beta male in harem always get swarm by women? I don't fucking know). He even got them to ... defend his honor and they do so without even thinking of him as pathetic, but got even more attracted to him.Wow, you can't make this shit up, no, literally, you can't make this shit up.

The fighting scenes are okay but the characters fighting are unlikable and completely divorce from reality. All of the characters have almost nothing going for them, the rich girl is the typical can't express her feeling type who seems cold and aloof, the other two are one-dimensional that respectively is just attracted to the MC for absolute no fucking reason. Anyone else is not even fit to call characters. The cringe-worthy part gets especially intense during some scene where they call out a helicopter against some ruffians because they are rich, yeah, not how shit works. Fight scenes are also predictable and has no weight to them, they are just people waiting to be defeated because they have shit personality so there is no need to analyze tactics because you already know what's going to happen.

Plot? There is no plot. I only got this far because of the art even then it starts failing because they prefer to draw them in deform chibi and the details become blurred. It is girls fighting unrealistically because there is no fucking way girls and men would mix in contact sports and there is no way you wouldn't get move up on the fighting league if you are able to K.O people consistently in seconds. Oh yes, let's not forget to mention how little fucking chemistry there is, they talk to each other yet there is no fucking chemistry at all between them, other than being bland and 1D, their relationship feels artificial and contrived.

This is my first 1 for something I have read. Hopefully, I won't be stumbling on garbage like this in the near future.

Honestly, this manhwa was the reason why I started to look into more manga and manhwa. It has a very dramatic beginning into the story and drags you along the way so you don't fall behind. Constant fighting scenes, comedic scenes and romantic scenes. The story may seem generic as the weak boy who is trained into becoming a strong-willed man but this story doesn't seem to get old for me. I feel like every character in this manhwa is connected to me.

Story 8/10.

Story as I said seemed to be pretty generic but it hooks you in and doesn't let you go until you read ... enough. Really dramatic and loving scenes to rom-com scenes that make you love/hate the protagonist.

Art 9/10.

This style of art is definitely one of the reasons to why I was hooked. The way the emotions were drawn onto the characters show alot about the story and makes you think..mhmm..is he a good guy or a bad guy? It always brings bright colours to the panels and gives you eye candy when you need it. Also the atmosphere is great.

Character 9/10.

Character development in this manhwa is crazy. Every character you meet in the story gains or loses something because of what they do and how they do it. They all learn from their mistakes and are taught valuable lessons throughout the story. The main protagonist changes from a weak-frail boy to a stong-willed individual but doesn't lose sight of what is important to him. You will know what I mean when you read this.

Enjoyment 10/10.


Artwork, the colour, the story and all the loving characters, I just enjoyed them all. This was one of first manhwa's I read and I will definitely be reading more when this is over.

Overall 9/10.

How this series turned out like this!!!
Few chapters back I was enjoying it sooo much
Now I don't even know what's going on here....

The way GOTW start was amazing I was just invested in it so much.

... The martial arts were drawn, described so amazing I didn't thought that I was just staring at the at screen instead watching every move so cleanly just like in anime.

They mixed Action and Romance well in it.. although Romance wise I found it but lacking.
DalDal Choi was the best girl for me really.. Her character development was very good through the series but that's it she was the only one . Our MC Jaegi Song was biggest C*ckhold . He was good till 150-160 chapters but after that he started falling apart
And after season 1 (200th chapter) he just became what he was at the start - self-pitted ,depressed kid .

Never felt real to me. I can't even tell when and how they started falling for each other because through the whole series I didn't found them together for most of the time.

Interactions between every characters are so funny. Comedy wise I can reread it anytime and never felt bored.
As I said DalDal was the best girl and should be the one to end with Jaegu and loved the romance between them.
Not to Mention moon young and DalDal's chemistry .
I just Love Them👄

BUT.....
After Season 1 (after 200th chapter) it just doesn't went down the hill it dipped into one of the most abrupt incomplete ending ever.

There were so many plot points to explore but mangaka just mentioned it and never explored it. Which i think were SUPER important toward the series.
Some of them were:
1. Jaegu's Mother
Biggest mystery!! They Mentioned that her mother had run away
Heck they even HINTED that she might return but later mangaka just forgot or ignored it
2. Nose bleed
In 2nd Season Jaegu seemed to get Nose Bleed suddenly when he was completely at rest not in any fight(not even in past) ofc no perverted case either😂...but the way it was shown we thought it might be really serious disease or something but author choose to or might be forced to just forgot about it as they were axeing it.

Martial arts the biggest strength of this series was just seemed to be nowhere in the 2nd Season
Last few chapters just turned into some korean drama(although I haven't watched any)...

There was so much to do in the series and really Feel so heavy about it because after getting invested so much into it the ending was just not Satisfying!!!
It's not like the ending was tgat bad they handled DalDal's development well and brought a proper closure to her character in the end

This is a manga I REALLY wanted to like when it first started. Probably following suit with the other reviews here, it was an interesting start with interesting ideas supported by good art. Jaegu seemed to be a bit forgettable in his design but the other characters stood out. Queen, Moon Young and Dal Dal are so good I can actually remember their names which is rare for the usual harem fluff you see in manga and manwha. The slow progression of the main character was nice as he wasn't the stereotypical over-powered fullfilment fantasy and the surrounding support characters and love interests were ... characters over members of a harem. This being put in a martial arts setting with an upcoming tournament was a great way to have an over arching story with smaller archs along the way and it was an enjoyable read. The only issue at that point was the tournament came up and was done so early. Why is that a bad thing? Because that is where things began to take a turn.

While the character of Jaegu was never approaching the point of someone I wanted to root for, he was still a decent human being and never grated on my nerves but as the series went along, his actions became more and more annoying after the tournament. This wasn't helped as the martial arts aspect of the series was barely making a cameo. The melodramatics always dragged out and each chapter left with annoying cliffhangers more and more often when compared to the first part of the series where it wound at the end of an arch or the cliff hanger would be welcomed, like in the middle of two people punching each other or the introduction of character. Instead as the series progressed, it just feels as if the author is just cutting into the middle of the story all the time like a child constantly mashing the pause button. The pacing can come to a hault only to ramp up, just to leave us on another cliff hanger.

While the later parts are still enjoyable in some fashion, it is almost for a completely different reason than the beginning. We hardly get to see the girls in the "harem" fight and Jaegu's development has come to a screaching halt or maybe a crawl if you're being nice. Combined with contrived plot twists, change in tone and sometimes setting, the series is okay but it is more about the melodrama and it completely drowns out the initial martial arts style the series was going for.


The art is probably the only consistent thing about this series. The bright vibrant colors are nice and characters have distinguishing features and there aren't too many of them to where you end up having to remember a small army of samey characters. Action scenes (while more and more rare as the series goes on) are beautifully done, with the art depicting weighty impacts, characters showing wear and tear and impressive finishers being displayed in full glory. It is just sort of sad to know instead of these awesome action scenes, for nearly 100+ chapters, it doesn't get to be put on display much and instead we get characters idly chatting.

Would I recommend this? Right now, no. If only the first bit about the martial arts was around with the romance as a subplot I could easily do it but it isn't that way. This new heavy emphasis on the melodrama. If you are in it, i wont blame you for dropping but if youre going to start, wait. Read something and wait for this to finish. The change in tone and the annoying cliff hangers make it not really worth subscribing and waiting for new issues.

How can I start this, Girls of the wild was an awesome series, but as everything else, it is flawed the series starts with a dark, realistic drama it was more than once that I shed some tears while reading the beginning, you can relate to the characters, and they are extremely likeable, but as the story moves, the author starts to deviate from his original focus, through the middle of the series, almost all drama is gone and the story becomes mor unreal, you can't fully relate to it anymore, but still, there was a lot of action and martial arts, so I was ... OK with it, but after the tournment, everything started to became more generic, you could see the cliche love triangle, romantic drama and the plot strays further away from its origins, there was a point where it seems that the author completly forgot about the martial arts and went for a full shoujo, that kinda bothered me, but I was determined to finish it, after all, it really wasn't a bad series, in the end something end up happening bringing up the drama that we missed so much, I don't know if it was because something happened to my favorite character, but I was really flustered while the drama happened, but after that, all that happened was kinda of dissappointing and upsetting, the end felt really empty and some more cliche with romance, but I can't say I didn't enjoy Girls of the Wild, heck, the beginning really made me want to go back to martial arts, and the humor and jokes were excelent by far, but at the same time, there was from time to time something that some people might really dislike, anyways, I'm getting offtopic, bad habit, so to wrap this up, girls of the wild is a really good series, but it may not be for anyone.

Overall really enjoyable for the first 75% or so but then the story takes a nose dive regarding the amount of drama for the remainder, ending is still somewhat satisfying IMO just wish the parts leading to the end were less clouded with drama.

The fighting and art style as well as character design was very good and super detailed throughout the whole story including amazing shots of both the people and the backgrounds and the occasional food as well.

Though the last 25% wasn't amazing the ending though not as nice as it could have been still gives plenty of closure as well as the enjoyable ... 75% at the start I would say its worth the read if you enjoy fighting, beautifully drawn girls and a 6.5/10 story

The characters are good and there are some funny moments, but other than that, this manhwa is mediocre at best.

All the drama can basically be summed up as the main characters defending themselves when one generic bad guy after the other targets them through either bullying, blackmail or simply because they like fighting or screwing with people for no apparent reason. They're all laughably shallow and forgettable, and just bad for the sake of being bad rather than there being some actual, believable reason for them acting the way they do.
Furthermore, the good guys usually just let the bad guys go scot-free, no matter how ... serious the situation/crime was. (Even attempted murder is considered okay in this story.)
Each incident is concluded in one of two ways; Either the bad guy suddenly becomes a good guy, or the bad guy keeps being bad and repeat the same pattern over and over again until they've been dealt with enough times to either become a good guy or just disappear from the story without a trace.

On another note, don't expect any romance. There are multiple girls who are in love with the protagonist, including one who is actively pursuing him for most of the story, but he himself is so pathetic and unassertive that there aren't any romantic developments whatsoever until the final chapter, which in itself felt incredibly forced because the characters suddenly started acting completely different than they previously had been for the entirety of the story.

In conclusion, all I can say is that Girls of the Wild's is a bundle of lost potential. It could have been great, but almost every aspect of it was handled so poorly that it ended up as nothing but a disappointment.
