Oh ItaKiss... you know, I just can't work up the visceral hatred that I once had for this series. Don't get me wrong: ItaKiss is irredeemably bad and is the very piece of crap that started the whole "abusive male/idiotic female" trope that I so viscerally despise in shojo romances. At the same time, ItaKiss is one of the few mangas that actually goes well beyond the scope of high school and it's not like there isn't anything good about it either. Do keep in mind that all of the good there is to be found in the manga isn't anywhere near enough to excuse read more

This beloved classic title has endured the test of time. With two live-action dramas and now an anime, it is definitely a must read shoujo title.

While the artwork is not incredibly good, the story more than makes up for it. It's a farily long series which was never completed due to the sudden death of the mangaka. The anime series hopes to conclude with the original intended ending.

Kotoko and Irie's challenges with each other are always fun and even suspenseful as the reader tries to anticipate what new behavior Irie's going to show Kotoko as their relationship blossoms. Hilarious supporting characters make this title read more

Manga: Hapi Mari: Happy Marriage!?
Both girls (Kotoko in Itazura na Kiss & Chiwa in Hapi Mari) aren't very smart, tend to cry a lot, and act clumsy. Both guys (Irie in Itazura na Kiss & Hokuto in Hapi mari) are important to a company and act all cocky/rude against the girl, and in both stories the girl tries to make the guy love her.

Manga: Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji
Although Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji is still being published, I get the same vibe from these two. If you loved Itazura na Kiss like I did, I highly recommend this one. Both main female characters stuggle to obtain the love of the male. Also both males seem very cold and rude but end up being sweethearts <3

Manga: Ojousama no Gohoubi
A girl lives with a guy because her house was destroyed.

Manga: Koi Nanka Hajimaranai
While the love relationship between the two main couples are different, the overall theme is the same. Stupid girl in the F class gets more than she bargained for when she happens to be stuck living in the house of the most popular guy in the A class. Both series are filled with hilarious situations that just leave you wanting more.

Manga: Good Morning Call
Good Morning Call and Itazura na Kiss are very similar in the deliverance of the story. While the situations are different, they are both about a girl that is wildly crazy about a boy, and a cool boy that barely acknowledges her. The sequel, Good Morning Kiss, is very similar to the second half of Itazura na Kiss as well.

Manga: L♥DK
Both manga involves a popular yet cold guy who is forced to live with the girl under special circumstances. As the story progresses, it seems that romance blooms for the the two as they face obstacles, misunderstandings, and the past.

Both manga also have great artwork, stories, and an emotional roller coaster as the chapters progresses. Overall, a must-read shoujo for fans alike.
