Synopsis

In Florida, 2011, Jolyne Kuujou sits in a jail cell like her father Joutarou once did; yet this situation is not of her own choice. Framed for a crime she didn't commit, and manipulated into serving a longer sentence, Jolyne is ready to resign to a dire fate as a prisoner of Green Dolphin Street Jail. Though all hope seems lost, a gift from Joutarou ends up awakening her latent abilities, manifesting into her Stand, Stone Free. Now armed with the power to change her fate, Jolyne sets out to find an escape from the stone ocean that holds her.

However, Jolyne soon discovers that her incarceration is merely a small part of a grand plot: one that not only takes aim at her family, but has additional far-reaching consequences. What's more, the mastermind is lurking within the very same prison, and is under the protection of a lineup of menacing Stand users. Finding unlikely allies to help her cause, Jolyne sets course to stop their plot, clear her name, and take back her life.

The story of Jolyne is very good.

It starts with you thinking it's going to be a typical Araki work. It's going to be interesting, it's going to be confusing, but nothing too extraordinary.

However, as you get to the final parts of the story, everything that unfolds, all the moral conflict, the powers, the plot, it just gets better and better.

And, spoiler alert (No plot said in this part),

You don't expect that ending. You don't know it's going to happen. You would never expect that to happen. And it happens. It just happens. And that, for me, makes this work literally absurd.

THIS IS A SPOILER FREE REVIEW!

Stone ocean is in my opinion by far the worst JJBA part. This is because I expected a well made story, but instead I got non-stop action. I literally mean non-stop action. During the entire part(except for some chapter focusing on DIO) characters do nothing but fight. I also consider fights in this part to be the worst fights in all of JoJo. They were boring and almost never advanced the story. Main cast was good with fun characters. I liked the protagonist Jolyne Cujoh the most, but other characters were also interesting. Unfortunately, they don't get much spotlight. Antagonist ...

If I were to describe Stone Ocean in one word, that would be confused. To be more precise than one word, Stone Ocean feels like it doesn't know where it is going and what it wants while being forced to move in a direction. Though I may have given it a 2, I still found it to be worth reading, as I have finished it. But what good will I have towards this part is showered in complaints and confusion that made the whole 3 days journey I took reading this a very rocky road. But I can't be this vague, ...
