Synopsis

In Florida, 2011, Jolyne Kuujou sits in a jail cell like her father, Joutarou, once did; yet this situation is not of her own choice. Framed for a crime she did not commit and manipulated into serving a longer sentence, Jolyne is ready to resign to a dire fate as a prisoner of Green Dolphin Street Jail. Though all hope seems lost, a gift from Joutarou ends up awakening her latent abilities, manifesting into her Stand, Stone Free. Now armed with the power to change her fate, Jolyne sets out to find an escape from the stone ocean that holds her.

However, Jolyne soon discovers that her incarceration is merely a small part of a grand plot: one that not only takes aim at her family, but has additional far-reaching consequences. What is more, the mastermind is lurking within the very same prison, and is under the protection of a lineup of menacing Stand users. Finding unlikely allies to help her cause, Jolyne sets course to stop their plot, clear her name, and take back her life.

Women in prison. Ok, got your attention.

Featuring one of the most ridiculously tense and violent games of catch-ball ever, Stone Ocean is even better than part 5 of the JoJo saga. If Golden Wind was the zenith of the JoJo franchise, then Stone Ocean is the apex. Ok, they both mean the same thing but you get the idea.

Starring the daughter of the stoic, bland, yet incredibly powerful Jotaro, the story has jumped a few years to 2011, Florida, USA. Jolyne is in a 'pinch' as the Japanese love to say. She's on her way to a sprawling prison complex ...

Mixed Feelings
THIS IS A SPOILER FREE REVIEW!

Stone ocean is in my opinion by far the worst JJBA part. This is because I expected a well made story, but instead I got non-stop action. I literally mean non-stop action. During the entire part(except for some chapter focusing on DIO) characters do nothing but fight. I also consider fights in this part to be the worst fights in all of JoJo. They were boring and almost never advanced the story. Main cast was good with fun characters. I liked the protagonist Jolyne Cujoh the most, but other characters were also interesting. Unfortunately, they don't get much spotlight. Antagonist ...

Part 6 has a good premise, had awesome moments, the protagonist is one of the best in the series, the main group is great and the story is interesting. So, why am I giving such a bad rating? Because of the ending. The ending is the worst in every possible way.

I'm leaving the Story part to the end.
Art (9/10)
What can I say? It's just good. Araki improved his drawing skills a lot through the years and this part proves it. Also, the character design is crazy as ever, you can see it specially in Jotaro, Jolyne and Pucci.

Character (5/10)
