Both male leads like to be alone, and have a role of smart male lead and really deductive
reportRecommended by jour
both revolve around children with special abilities, and the main characters stand out due to their (non-existent - IZ) powers and are targeted (in the beginning -GA) because of that
reportRecommended by Shiharu
Same type of characters: -main protagonist is a bit of an outcast (voluntarily in Hyouka, forced in I.Zero ) with good deductions skills who later falls in love with the -love interest, who is a curious & extremely popular girl -best friend of the m.c. is a cheerful weirdo -best friend of the love interest is a tsundere

Taking place in a school life setting, Iris Zero and Yamada-kun has supernatural elements in their story. Both series' main female protagonists has an unique gift while there are also others with a variety of powers. There is a decent amount of characterization and relationship building as well in their stories. Later on, romance even blooms between the main characters as they learn more about each other. Do note that Iris Zero has a more psychological style of storytelling while Yamada-kun puts more emphasis in humor.

Despite of being diffenent in genres, the MC of these 2 series have the same vibes. Moreover, the art is also good. If you liked Iris Zero, you'll definitely like Boku to Senpai no Tekken Kousai too.
reportRecommended by SomaHakubaCruz
In both the main male character is ostracized by his classmates, but his friendship with the main female character helps him to make friends and be accepted by others.
reportRecommended by Silent_Chime
Iris Zero and Boku no Hero Academia accounts for people with supernatural abilities. However, the catch is that the main male protagonist in both series doesn't have any special powers. Yet, they still try to adapt with others and the life they live in their world. Both series are known for the developments of various characters. Throughout the story, mechanics of the various powers in both series are explained. There is also certain mystery regarding a few of the characters including their past; some that has influences in the present.
reportRecommended by Stark700
1. Both titles contain "Zero" ('0')?! 2. Both protagonists don't have the special power like any other character 3. Both female leads have lovely impression and desperately fall in love with protagonists (Aika x Taiga & Koyuki x Toru) 4. If you like Mx0, try to look at Iris Zero and vice versa.
reportRecommended by GuyFreakz
The story is not too similar but -highschool setting -underestimated male leads -important/powerful female leads
reportRecommended by newsyringe
They're both mystery orientated, though Arisa is more focused on only one big mystery while Iris Zero has little subarcs. And while both have intense, slightly confusing feelings, the reason that causes them is slightly different. The main characters have huge contrasts between them, and yet they're incredibly similar.
reportRecommended by Quillium
Both main protagonist are very intelligent and do not possess the eye abilities that their peers do. They also do not start out with many companions due to differing reasons.
reportRecommended by Fiver42
I'm shocked no one recommended this yet, they're so similar. Male MC's are both smart serious guys who likes to stay out of attention, then female lead also likes the MC, same atmosphere (most of the time light-hearted, then sometimes heavy too) so if you're reading this and haven't read either one, I really wish you find the time to enjoy these.
reportRecommended by DawnYamada
A lonely protagonist, detached from society because they were once considered inapt in the academy. Even tought iris zero is not an RPG, we can see as how the protagonist is really inteligent in solving problems in which, they didn't look out for, but were forced to take. The protagonis is also really caring with it's friend.
reportRecommended by chew7
Minus the romance Iris Zero and Liar Game has similar characters. Both have a male lead that have analytical skills, wanted to be left alone, and always help out the female lead. The female leads have something the male lead does not have, and that is bringing people together.
reportRecommended by 0ToasTee0
These two are so similar. The main character can amazingly 'see through' people, since they're good at figuring people out. The main guy is antisocial. One main character from both mangas are popular. The main characters get bullied. The romances are adorable and the characters are unique. If you like one, you'll like the other.

Both manga develop much romantic tension among the main characters, and both are stellar in regards to the main protagonist. Too often, anime/manga feature a male protagonist who is either perverted, ridiculously dense, or just idiotic—but the male protagonists in both Doubt! and Iris Zero act intelligently and appropriately given the situation. Both male protagonists are also very similar in that they hold a peculiar set of ideals and unique traits that make them enjoyable to read.

Similiar: ~ Both has smart male lead ~ Both kinda has twisted story ~ both is more about friendship than the romance ~ Both main character is being harassed

Male lead like alone and he always like a cool man, taking school plot, have triangel love story.
reportRecommended by Syureria
It has a similar "feel" if that makes any sense. It's similar in that it has a main character that is "normal" but special in his/her own way, but who helps solve the problems of his/her friends. While everyone that surrounds him/her has a special "ability" Also, it holds a lot of mystery of the characters background stories (that are intertwined) that is slowly revealed throughout the story.
reportRecommended by otakureese
If you like how the MC of oregairu works in the story, then you must be like MC of Iris zero too, they have a similliat style in the stories
reportRecommended by Darksteros
both are not mecha but it feeels same the way main chacrater i treated and one is supernatural other is mecha
reportRecommended by kevob65
Although Iris Zero isn't really about a detective solving cases, the main character does solve things with his amazing deductive abilities and powers of observations Just like Conan in Case Closed (Detective Conan). Iris Zero has a more supernatural theme while Case Closed is purely about a kid genius detective. Regardless of the difference, both are amazing and if you like reading about a character coming to conclusions through their powers of observation, definitely read both!
reportRecommended by SeiraLoyard
While not really similar on the surface, these two share a protagonist who seems to be a failure on first sight but later turns out to be a genius at solving other people's problems. Iris Zero has a little more romance in it whereas Denpa Kyoushi offers a bit more comedy.
reportRecommended by Dashiawia
Iris Zero and Zettai Karen Children shares a common trend relating to the use of supernatural/fantasy gimmicks. The main characters possess such abilities and utilizes them for a variety of tasks. Throughout both series, they get into conflicts with others with supernatural gifts that sometimes puts their lives at jeopardy. There are also mysteries regarding the origins of these powers as both series explores them. And by experience, both series builds on the foundation and captivates on it through their characters and premise. Recommended for fans of supernatural fantasy.
reportRecommended by Stark700
In both Iris Zero and Railgun, there exists powers that defies the natural law of order. Their story concentrates on characters with these powers and the roles they play. Both series adapts mystery as well relating to the many origins of their settings, powers, and characters themselves. The main female protagonist also has a past that has connections to the present story.
reportRecommended by Stark700
In both manga, the main protagonist is a male student who is both shunned and hated by nearly everyone in school. They are both ostracized for reasons that aren't their fault, with Toru from Iris Zero being an outcast for having been born with no special powers at all, while Tsumugi from Mukuchi na Bakemono is also an outcast because his parents are jailed murderers. Furthermore, only a handful or less than a handful of other students are even willing to approach them.
reportRecommended by Coldlight
main character can see flags that ranges from friendship to death. same kind of powers that deal with vision.
reportRecommended by keyblade499
The main guy is being followed by a girl they don't like at first, but later he starts to care when the girl needs help. Both happen mostly in school. HnA is more action, fighting. IZ is has more of a detective feeling to it. Both are good imo. :D
reportRecommended by Lylaaz
Toru is born into a world where powers are normal, and he is isolated because he has no power. Touma lives in a city where powers are normal, but not quite the majority. He has no 'power' per se, only a strange, unexplainable ability called "Imagine Breaker". They're both really good.
reportRecommended by sandarikka
Despite having different premises, Iris Zero and Witch Craft Works takes up a concept involving supernatural powers and creates a story with unusual gimmicks. The main male protagonist is a normal guy who one day gets acquainted (in Iris Zero with a confession) with a popular girl at school. From there on, the story shows their relationship and the circumstances that revolves around them. There is supernatural powers involved in both series although Iris Zero also has a psychological essence to the story. Give both a try if you're interested in modern supernatural series.
reportRecommended by Stark700
While both series aren't on the same level of psychological tendencies, they both have bits of that background. Both series also takes place at a school life setting where the main male character meets another popular female character. However, between the two of them, they often deal with strange circumstances. There is also somewhat of a 'love triangle' although it's played as less dramatic but rather in a more psychological way in both series. In general, both has a more serious tone than traditional romance manga titles.
reportRecommended by Stark700
the main character in both mangas are isolated from others. they try to be alone as much as possible in the start but slowly learn to get along with others as the story moves on
reportRecommended by MiyatouSeishirou
these 2 r simililar by a person alwasy trying to hide themself and want to change but cant because their will be trobles changing and getting trobles from others untill some1 ends up helping 1 another to not keep hidden
reportRecommended by Monokoi
Because they both follow the main character getting bullied and gradually getting a group of friends that like them for who they are and both get you hooked.
reportRecommended by WhySoMadDoe
Iris Zero/Toru are quite similar to Umineko Ep7/Will and, to a lesser degree, Ep5/Battler. In both manga/sound novels, the three characters place great emphasis on the motive, the whydunnit of the mystery/crime. They "don't forget about the heart" of the culprit and try to figure it out even after knowing the whodunnit and howdunnit rather than just giving up from the start and waiting for a confession from the culprit.
reportRecommended by Yopee
Both mangas have a main guy who is an introvert and both have a motto related to their anti-people/worldness. These main guys are both extremely good at solving mysteries and similarly, they deduce them. The main girls are both cute and they both ask the main guy for help. These main guys always give into their whims. They also have similar supporting characters. Both pretty light-hearted and similar style/plot.
reportRecommended by pinkypai
In both series, main characters gains mysterious powers that has strong influences in the story. There's also conflicts and context about these powers as we discover some of their origins. Iris Zero takes place in a school life setting while Deathtopia involves serial killers and mysterious organizations.
reportRecommended by Stark700
In both Tantei Gakuen Q and Iris Zero, the main character's amazing powers of observation helps them deduce what happened or hypothesize what has happened. However, Iris Zero has more of a fantasy feel to it as it deals with supernatural abilities, while Tantei Gakuen Q is more "real life" based. Both have a slight comedic feel to it however Tantei Gakuen Q is more detective related while Iris Zero is more daily life of the main character as he gets pulled into things. Both are really good, especially if you like reading about the deductions and all the little details that most people would  read more
