Despite the rather lackluster and cliche start to the story and premise, the manga becomes entertaining relatively quickly mainly due to its utilization of humor in extremist character archetypes.
The plot of this managing an isn’t great nor is it well-built, since some of the developments come unnaturally — refugees randomly join the mc, damsels in distress, etc. — but the plot isn’t needed to be well-built and unflawed solely because of its entertainment possibilities. A rather simplistic approach and development is utilized, and it has been done in an engaging way, albeit cliche.
As for the characters, this is where the story becomes exponentially better.

Though there are tons and tons of weird — borderline creepy — archetypes, the characters grow on you as you read, causing them to be funnier and funnier despite the near same-ish jokes every chapter.
Although the characters aren’t the most well-written or overall impactful individually, they provide a nice comedic atmosphere to the whole plot, making the story tolerable. There are of course tons of frustrations in the mc and cliches in villains, but the light-hearted nature of the manga makes it easy to forget about it.
Though this manga didn’t start out great for the initial chapters, it becomes pretty enjoyable in the later-half once all of the characters and storyline has been accustomed to.
