Preliminary (1/86 eps)
This is the sequel to The Fable. I won’t spoil the ending of the first part. But this manga picks up exactly from where the first part left. Do not read this before reading the first part.

The story, art, enjoyment is same as before. It was nostalgic to see all the old guys here again. The story starts off in the COVID pandemic. I wonder if that will play a big role moving forward.

So far only a few chapters are available online, but it is top quality! Worth waiting for more chapters.


For all the Fable lovers this is an amazing continuation.

The good thing about The Second Contact is that it captures the same absurdist humor as the previous manga. It's great to see the same beloved characters again and expound on more hilarious scenarios with them. The introduction into the 2nd series feels weak but is still in line with the flavor of The Fable and throws the readers directly into the Covid society setting.

Minor Spoilers below:

My only gripe with this follow up is that it seems to retcon the finale of the prequel and is taking the plot in a different direction. The previous storyline was about the humanization of the main character ...
