So well, this is a NTR story, so if from the beginning you don't like this theme, maybe this isn't a manga for you.

After that, the story goes about Takeru, Kaori (his girlfriend) and Yoshioka (his girlfriend's best friend), and the relationship that develops between the MC and Yoshioka. She claims that she can only get excited by having an affair with her best friend's boyfriend and so wants to be in one with him, but our man rejects that idea, even though he already kissed her while he was dating Kaori (need to say, Yoshioka was the one who force him to do it).

So ... from chapter 1, we can see how in a short lapse of time, Yoshioka continues pushing Takeru to have an affair with her, and how he slowy gives in to the temptation of her body. Yoshioka is a pretty girl, a popular gal, has a voluptuos female figure comparing to Kaori. But, there seems to be something more deeper in Yoshioka's actions, maybe she is just a perv (as she claims) or maybe she has other ulterior feelings or goals, if tha author continous the story (which I hope), maybe we could see some character development.

With all that, you can already imagine how the story goes, is quit simple but enjoyable, the arte is awesome and Yoshioka is an interesting girl, I like her. Must of the people would say that reading Kanojo no Tomodachi is a waste of time with the pretext "dude, just read hentai", but I thing this kind of history has it's own charm, I know that there must be people who wanna read something, get excited, but not to the point of masturbate, so if your are one of that, give it a chance.

The most recent review here gives this a 'Not recommended' score for something that didn't actually happen in the manga. Just FYI. A lesson why it's worth waiting out controversial plot points to see whether they happened or were a bait.

Anyways, I can't give this series more than a 5/10 and 'Mixed feelings'.

The mangaka REALLY needs an editor to calm the fuck down. There are retrospections, time skips, and whatnot happening in the most jarring manner all throughout the series. Sometimes they make sense, sometimes they're so random you're like 'Wait, WTF is happening and why am I here?'

Imagine a big reveal/suspenseful moment and ... then BAM! you get a retrospection arc. Once you're back in the present, the story moves on and the reveal just...fizzles out. What? Three times I seriously asked myself whether I was reading the same series and wait, where did THAT jump come from?

The, er, plot can be dumb as rocks too. Not always, to be fair. Sometimes this manga manages to hint at the decent smutty drama it could have been. Once again, the author goes haywire and ruins it with something stupid - even for the standards of 18-year-old hormone-blasted teens in an ecchi series.

These points put aside, it's a decent trainwreck with tits as wheels if you have time to waste. Lower your expectations regarding logical decisions and it becomes pretty darn entertaining plus the smut is hot. The drama has also been ramping up slightly better than earlier, so hey, it might be actually turning into something decent?

Keep in mind that 72 chapters in, the mangaka said it's just the 'prologue'. The chapters are rather short at 8-9 pages each, but obviously, this is going to run for a while. I'm putting it on hold as this is something not worth waiting weekly/monthly for - batch reading works better.

tl;dr: it's hentai, nothing more nothing less. We all know you're here for the ntr ya filthy bastard


Story:

The story basically follows the journey of the MC who has the weakest "but I have a girlfriend!" rebuttal in the history of MC's. Like seriously, he gives no shits, you give no shits, the entire story is waiting to see how long the FL (who is the best friend of MC's girlfriend) takes before she manages to reverse NTR the FL, and how long the ML can play the "b-b-but I have a gurlfriend" card (spoiler alert: doesn't take that long)

Art:

The art is pretty nice. Drawings are ... clean and there's enough mental gymnastics in the lewdness to pass as just ecchi and not at the very least smut

Characters:

MC --> Same basic bitch MC you'd find in a normal romcom. Has a girlfriend (somehow) yet find it somewhat difficult to utter the words "No" in a semi-convincing way without pretty much being toyed around by the FL. It's like he wants to cheat or smth

MC's girlfriend --> Literally there to make us feel bad or something? It's not like she does anything in particular to make you love her or hate her (for the most part) she's kinda there to remind you that yes indeed, this is an NTR story

FL: Classic oversized boobs thot character (who secretly might be a bit innocent). Bffs with MC's girlfriend yet for some reason can only get horny with MC GF's boyfriends and no one else. Her entire mission in life is to NTR her best friend. What a dick.


Enjoyment:

idk. Nothing really to expect from this tbh. At least the MC's GF doesn't seem like a super innocent nice girl and the MC's commitment is so half assed even Sniperwolf was more committed to that 10yr old child, so having the NTR element doesn't really make this anything frustrating really, just horny
