Both are set in a world with fantastic creatures, with a system of level up and different abilities. Similar art (both good) and a likeable main character, with promising side characters. Both also show several times there is no limit to anybody's power, making the level up journey even more enjoyable. If solo leveling is a 10, i'd say Omniscient Reader is a solid 8 or 8.5

It involves the MC encounter the world of the novel they read of it.

The mc's powers are a lot similar with both of them knowing what will happen in the future and planning ahead of time and meeting people they already knew

"The World After the Fall" and "Omniscient Reader" share intriguing post-apocalyptic settings where survival takes center stage. The protagonists in each story have to pass through different stages and trials while working their way up to become 'Constellations'.

It's simillar as they are both in a game-like world, they are both strong. They both know the future and grow a strong group of people similarities: - Strong ML - Game like world - Strong group of friends - No harem/ a bunch of girls who love the ML

Both have almost identical stories both of them knowing what will happen in the future, and try to influence them thanks to their knowledge

In both series, after the MC reads a novel, the world is changed by an apocalypse similar to the one said novel talks about, so the MC already knows part of what's going to happen, and using his skills and fellow survivor allies he makes along the way, the MC tries to fulfill a goal that drives him.

spoiler: both MC were dragged into novel/story

Both are about the main characters who are familiar with the game system. They both know the future and try to change it into their own

Both of it is set in a world where earth turned into a battlefield game. Both The MCs know about the future of the game world. They will change it and make it their own ending The only difference is that in Omniscient Reader, the game is a Novel read by the MC but Return to Player the MC travels back in time knowing the future

SSS-Class Revival Hunter is basically Omniscient Reader, Tower of God, and Solo Leveling all in one. But this one is much more better in writing and presenting depressing scenes or sad scenes.

A main character who's cursed to re-experience tragedy over and over. You might very well feel pity for them, for they tried to leave their nightmare countlessly, without being able to get away.

A fan who's read the entire story made by an author who doesn't show his/her face, appears inside this story and with this knowledge he has an advantage to other characters, using the elements of surprise and predictions to bend dangerous situations back to his favor.

Both webtoons have BL subtext, RPG elements, an interesting world, a group of interesting characters and a good art style. In "Dusk Howler", the protagonist plays a fantasy virtual game, while "Omniscient Reader" has a game system in real life.

While these are pretty different plots and concepts, if you liked Shizuos and and Izayas antics in durarara, you’ll like the mc (dokja) and the “hero” interactions. Omniscient Reader doesn’t really have the confusing-ness and everything clearing up at the end. But if you had izaya as the narrator and protagonist of an apocalypse that he already knew that would happen (kinda) you’d get this.

-Survival and the system is very similar -Both main characters know the future -Both have regressors

Two manhwa with a main character who is able to outsmart the "dokkaebi" who transport people into their separate worlds where their suffering would normally be seen as entertainment by higher-ups and bystanders. They either make a fool out of the ones in control or totally form their own path, neither is willing to be controlled easily.
reportRecommended by RaviDavi
Both are manhwa in which the MC is the only one who's read or seen important information that no-one else has read (or at least not everyone has read further than a certain point in the case of ORV). This info proves extremely useful when an issue suddenly pops up for the MC. <>Omniscient Reader is adventure and fantasy, Viral Hit has more rough fights and is about delinquents in the school environment.

MC is able to predict what route to take in the (either apocalyptic or VR) game to get the best results. Both have the necessary history and knowledge to clear tasks and pass obstacles difficult for other players/people. <>Omniscient reader has a more serious tone than Quanzhi Gaoshou.
reportRecommended by RaviDavi
Both characters were so intensely concentrated on an online story or a game that they ended up inside of it, and they cannot leave until they complete the storyline. The two of them know of what the right and wrong choices to make in-game are. <>Omniscient Reader: MC is not bound by in-game rules prohibiting free speech, Villains Are Destined to Die: Penelope is (in the beginning), after some time she also can talk freely. <>Omniscient Reader: failure does not mean immediate death, Villains Are Destined to Die: failure means upcoming death. <>Omniscient Reader: MC is more a protagonist than a villain, Villains Are Destined to Die: MC is  read more

Same ending, similar charters and dynamic.

Serious and calculist protagonist, which have very strong secret weapons, but are also consciente of the importance of teamwork. One happens in a RPG world, while the other is more of an game novel isekai.
reportRecommended by chew7
Both series have a similar setting with them being transported to a fantasy setting in which they need to gather allies to survive. (Difference being in Omniscient Reader the fantasy comes to the real world rather than the MC going to the fantasy) Both MCs are really similar as well with them being the calculating type. Highly recommend them both if you haven't read one or the other.

In order to survive you need to complete games, that is the premise in both mangas. The scenario is different between the two manga, while in one the protagonist seems to be trasportated to a light novel world the others occurs in reality, however in both cases the protagonist needs to use their brains and abilities in order to survive the challenges together with their friends

Recommending this based off of character similarities. Protagonists are both skinny malnourished workaholics who don't take care of themselves at all. This is more aimed at the Omniscient Reader fans who are here for the BL, but, like, it's right up your alley.

These two series might sound incompatible, but there are some fun similarities between Detective Conan and Omniscient Reader: * The protagonist loves a certain novel and references it all the time; * He emulates or impersonates his favorite character on occasion; * He makes lots of snarky commentary in his head, but not out loud; * He is always thinking a dozen steps ahead and pulls some very complex gambit pileups; * The protagonist keeps this huge secret from his allies and has to lie to them all the time; * There's a girl in the same situation as the protagonist, and knows about his secret. She also has a somewhat  read more

Similar themes of novel characters facing the reality of their existence and the meaning of fiction in this context. I know this sounds vague but going into detail would be a spoiler for both series.

These two manhwas share a similar style, where "gods" interact with the MC using messages. Also the MC is somehow aware of the story of the book they are in and they try to change parts of the story. Lastly, the original MCs of the stories they are in returned in time multiple times until it changed them.

god tier scenarios honestly a higher stakes version of shangrila

1-cunning and ambitious main characters 2-rpg style powers 3-the leads of both series have similar vibes 4-powerful secondary characters very willing to follow the protagonist to the last consequences 5-the protagonists manipulate almost everyone but they are still the most ethical and sensible sorry for grammatical errors, google translate
reportRecommended by kiyoco
Both manhwa revolve around the concept of 'Constellations' or 'Celestials,' which are depicted as somewhat god-like beings with their own intriguing 'fables.' However, 'The Celestial Returned from Hell' takes a more laid-back approach to storytelling

If you enjoyed LotM, then you will likely enjoy ORV as well. I don't know a single LotM fan who isn't also a fan of ORV.

“Ending Maker” is kind of like a romcom version of “Omniscient Reader”. The tones are wildly different but the whole fantasy adventure with the MC knowing the future is similar. Both also incorporate video game-like mechanics (skills, leveling up, etc). They’re both great reads and highly recommended!
