This series is one in the large wave of Konosuba rip-offs that emerged after the drastic success of that series. Unfortunately, it doesn't really seem that the author of 'Level up by Eating' had any actual plans for a story or characters, simply the motivation to make something to make money.

My issue with the series largely came down to the characters. The MC is completely uninteresting. His personality is template-typical, and he does nothing new or innovative other than become op by eating things and amassing skills. It does the 'skill collection' trope just like many other series have done, but it doesn't take the ...
