The Yumeiro Patissiere anime is what led me to read the ongoing (at least, awaiting English translation) Yumeiro Patissiere manga. And I have to admit, I find the manga to be quite better.
Story: 9/10
I think that the story of the manga is much more directed in the manga than the anime. This is mostly because the plot seems so much more realistic, while the anime pushed what was possible and basically allowed main character Amano Ichigo anything she wanted.
Not so much in the manga. Ichigo must actually strive to reach what she wants, and sometimes it results in failure, which is only normal. This gives the manga the feeling of realism, which allows you to relate to it better. After all, Amano Ichigo of the anime seems to be able to do anything. And quite frankly, it disheartens me a bit because I know I could never be like that.
Manga Amano Ichigo is easier to relate to.
Likewise, the romantic themes of the series shine through more prominently and importantly in the manga than in the anime, which is obviously an added bonus.
Art: 8/10
There's not much to say about the art besides the fact that it is very clean and well done. The manga art differs greatly from the anime, which is perfectly fine. If anything, the manga pays more attention to little details and character quirks than the anime does, because the more little details, the harder it is to animate. For that reason, I think the addition of these little details and clean, easy to look at, art gives it a deserving rating of 8/10.
Character: 9/10
Like I said in the story section of the review, Ichigo and a lot of the other characters are a lot more realistic in the manga than the anime, which makes them easier to relate to. They are also given more character development, which leads to further ability to attach to them.
Enjoyment: 10/10
There's nothing better than a supernatural themed manga (the idea of sweets spirits counts as supernatural, doesn't it?) that centers around the fluffy idea of sweets making, hard work, dedication, and lots of romance to go around. Definitely something worth waiting for as the chapter continue to be released in English. I personally love it very much!
Overall: 9/10
Averaging all the scores together gives me the score of 9/10, which I deem appropriate for the Yumeiro Patissiere manga. Sweet and fluffy, just like a baking manga should be! read more

I already watched both seasons of the anime of yumeiro patissiere, and I've got to say, the anime was better in my perspective. The story was so and so because as you know, it's about a clumsy girl who becomes really good at making sweets. I still loved the characters! I also found koshiro a bit more tolerable to handle :D. I pretty much found the art "good" because I can't really see the individual looks of the characters. The 3 sweet princes have the same bangs and hairstyles, with just colour to differ. As the story caught on, I was more and more entertained in the cake grand prix and believe it or not, I found more love between Ichigo and Kashino then the anime. The cakes looked so delicious in the pictures that I was almost drooling in the end. Also I was WAYYYY more shocked in the developments of the grand prix.( trust me, you'll see) I'm extremely sad because I couldn't finish the manga! Also it was right were they introduced a character i've never seen before! ( Eng translations couldn't continue because Chinese translations got too difficult) OH SO heartbreaking! Even though there's a few negative points about it, I still recommend you to read this manga. read more

In both manga the heroine has an excellent sense of taste and got into a special school thanks to someone's recommendation. While Najica plans to become a chef and is already good at cooking, Ichigo wants to become a pâtissière just like her grandmother and is a complete beginner.
Both about cooking and have a similar storyline.
They're both about a young girl who wants to be a chef when she grows up.
And they both have the same sort of shoujo style to them.
- both the protagonists love sweets;
- both have a sharp taste;
- both face difficulties in school;
- are rejected by their classmates;
- but they find friends;
- and continue to fight for your dreams;
- change opinions,
- and upgrade themselves, proving their value.
Both Main charcters ate something good which made them smile and want to learn how to cook / bake. Najika and Ichijo Both get recomended into a rich school for the talented, and aim to make the best dessert / strawberry tart that they ate when they were little that made them smile. Najika and Ichigo both love eatting. Along the way of becoming famous, they both meet 2-3 nice guys that help them on there way, and have some sort of romantic feeling between them, which leads to a group of hater girls.
In conclusion Kitchen princess and Yumeiro Patissiere are exactly the same in every way apart from yumeiro patissiere has 3 guys and sweet spirits which help ichigo able to make sweets better.
Both main character is a girl and the theme is mainly about cooking and romance.
Also both has that cold hearted boy before getting to know the girl. SO amazing and cute! <3
The plot is pretty similar except in Kitchen Princess, Najika was already a talented chef from the start, and in yumeiro Patissiere, Ichigo has to work hard to become a wonder patissiere. They are both simply amazing.
Najika from Kitchen Princess is like Ichigo if she could cook well. Both girls have an extraordinary sense of taste and a great idea of what goes well together, and both want to become a patissiere. Ichigo wants to become a patissiere with no experience, while Najika can already cook. At first, both girls are excluded from their classes, but they both eventually get accepted, and respected.

Enter magic fairy to turn the heroine into the best of the best. Plus more yummy guys the she knows what to do with.
both stories have fairies that appear in school (but la corda d'oro faries was not that much of importance compare to the other 1), it somewhat similar in the way the story set, start out suck but better by time! try it out!
Both have a girl who attends a school that revolves around skills (one is music, the other is cooking). Both of the founders for the schools had a relationship with a fairy, and so there is a big statue of the fairy at the front of the school. The girl meets a fairy and at first is a bit shocked (Kahoko from Kin. no Corda more so) but then gradually builds a friendship and trust with them. The fairies help the girl with a skill that they are absolutely terrible at, but then the girl slowly get better and can do things on her own.
