DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- awwww so sad :S extremly good show and a perfect ending! kinda i wish they didn't have to die but oh well can't help it >.< i'm pretty satisfied with the fanservice as well as the beautiful landscape art of this anime. my rating: 9/10 <33 loved it, shame it was so short |

| Fuyu no Semi is one of the best yaoi I ever watched. ;) The ending was so sad yet beautiful, I would say it was a real love beyond death. The samurai's honor was in the way. T.T I really didn't want them to die... I personally liked the ending song performed by Morikawa Toshiyuki which makes just a great summary for this story. And yeah - the art is nice. (also 9/10 ;) ) |
| I feel miserable after having watched that despite the fact that from the first episode, I expected this kind of ending. I planned to watch this long ago but I never did until today because the art is not the type I like. Nevertheless 9/10. Short but brilliant. |

| That was pretty good. Although the art was too outdated for my BL tastes, the story was pretty good especially for a 3 episode OVA. Demi_V said: OMGosh, the sex is so HOT! | If I hadn't read the manga first and known this was their story in former lives, I would have cried my eyes out. Re-watching it still made me teary tho. The sex scenes are good examples of how these scenes should be portrayed in the plot. Meaningless sex scenes don't make a great show other than providing some fan service. I was totally lost in the snow scene where Akizuki died with his hair fluttering in the cold wind. Really brought out the beauty & sadness at the same time. And they had to add at the end something like "those shogunate retainers were pardoned only 1 year after the tragedy", as if it's not sad enough! 9/10 for sure, Fuyu no Semi being one arc in Haru wo Daite ita is one of my all time favorites. |

| I guess I should read the manga now. I was so sure I'd end up being meh about this but that sure was a knife in the heart at the end. My biggest complaint was the art and some what of the flow of information. But dang made me feel stuff for sure. 6/10 |

| Omg so sad ;_; Aww so when their fiancees aren't around, Akizuki stays at Kusaka's guest house so he doesn't get lonely! And Kusaka keeps him company too! How nice of him! That's so cute! (Okay but like actually, they said they had fiancees in episode 1, so where are they? I mean in Akizuki's case, he's presumed dead by the Bafuku, so his fiancee not being in the picture is understandable. But like what about Kusaka? Where's his fiancee? It makes this look like a “so glad we can meet up when our girlfriends aren't around” kind of deal lmao xD) Overall I really liked this show! I'm glad that the problematic aspect of the relationship throughout the entire show was their political standings, not the homosexuality. Came here for some hot gay action and I got that and a really touching story :'D I give it an 8-9/10! |

| Damn Sadder than Banana Fish, I didn't see that coming This was quite impecable. 8/10, would be higher with modern animation. Exceeded all my expectations, definitely recommended. |
