It's sad that there's a schism between people who are hyped about Sword Art Online 2 and this. I think I'll un-drop season 1, but not any time soon. I started it dubbed and I don't want to switch.

Just watched the OVA and then noticed this. One of my all time favorite series, really excited for it.

Awesome news. I wish more studios would take note and finish what they've started. Mushishi is great. Definitely at the top of my watch list.

I watched Mushishi a looong time ago, loved every bit of it, but it never even crossed my mind that it would get a second season.

Man, this year is shaping up to be an amazing year for anime fans! Parasyte, Mushishi S2, new ufotable's fate adaptation...and it's only January!

I approve of this. Mushishi was the first anime that I ever bought, thanks to what I saw on Funimation's stream. Spring can't come soon enough.

5 main aspects I base my ratings on:
1. Did DramaEnthusiast make a thread about it?
2. Is it better than Breaking Bad?
3. Did MellowJello recommend the shit out of it?
4. Has it caused a (very entertaining) shitstorm on MAL?
5. Is it actually good?

Scratch the fifth point, it's not very relevant...

Why is everyone saying that 2014 will be such a great year? I'm not really in the loop anymore, so I only know of Fate/Stay and Mushishi S2. What else is there to get excited about?

Of course Mushishi alone makes this the best anime year in quite some time, but I would like to know what else there is.

Well, their are people screaming about all these other potentially good series this year.

Isshukan Friends, Knights of Sidonia, Space Dandy, Wizard Barristers, Harmonie, Akuma no Riddle, Sakura Trick (for the Yuri fans), Hoozuki no Reitetsu, Parasyte, Black Bullet, Hitsugai no Chaika (I think that's what its called)

Among other things.

I'm with you though, I hope Mushishi's 2nd season isn't hyped to death.

JoJo Part 3. Everyone loves JoJo.

Yama No Susume S2.

Kagerou Days or what ever the anime' name is. It's one of those hit phenomenon in Japan.

Hmm, too bad most of them are manga adaptions, which I don't watch (except for Mushishi). But yeah, I forgot about Space Dandy.

Great news. Especially with all the original cast. Them getting together after all these years is a good sign already. I don't mind the show airing in two parts either. That way, they hopefully have more time to work on the episodes and provide a consistent high quality. In contrast to many other series that just rush through their content.

It was really boring to read. I don't see what's so good about it, sure Ginko was chill, and it's different, but it didn't really make me care about anything in it.

Yeah... sometimes I feel like this kind of attitude is what's ruining the forums. Never watched a series and then pretends that you(not directed at Makuro) like it, LOL.

Or maybe it's the fact that a "bad news"(SAO) was announced so that a "good news" seems far greater to make the bad news even worse? Or that make it not as bad? Godammit, I don't see what's so good about the series.
