I do not ever use fan-subs or illegally torrent or pirate anime as a principle. I've tried to find legal streaming or purchasing for the trilogy of Madoka Magica movies, but I can't find anything. In particular, I wouldn't mind skimping out on the first two movies, but I really want to see Rebellion.

Can anyone help?

The first two have a BD release already. The third won't have one until next year, either you watch it in a theatre near where you live, or you have to wait.

Rebellion is available in theater and the first two blue ray is already out for a while. How I wish that Rebellion playing in my country too.
Kickstarter for Rokujouma is fully funded. Good work everyone. Lets wait for the result of our hard work together.

They're only available in Blu Ray format? Can you give a link of where they are selling online?

Why don't you just stream it from an illegal site or torrent it then donate $5 or so to the developers if you feel bad about it? I mean your still paying?

The fact they are imports plays into the price quite a bit.

Either way thanks, I'm gonna shell out 104$ to see them. Also, it's cool to know Rebellion is playing in the US apparently in some places.

PS3 has a region free blu ray player, and almost 90% of BD in general are region free on their own.

Rebellion is already subbed and can be watched online. Of course, it's illegal, so.

Anyway, if you want to watch it legally, then you need to wait a year until the BD is out if it isn't airing anywhere near you already.

I have it and plays just fine (although to be honest if you've watched the series the first 2 movies aren't worth watching as it's just the series packed into 2 movies). If you're in the Americas, Japan has the same BD region so BD imports aren't issue (only DVDs).

There's no need for all this tension.

lol? Camrips? i have streamed/downloaded over 120 anime series and they have all been perfect quality. It would be very hard to even find a camrip of an anime series if you tried, Clearly you have not downloaded or streamed much if any anime or you would know that the quality for example on Kissanime.com is very good (Up to 1080p)
I wouldnt mind buying my series if they were resonably priced but with all the tax its too much so i'd prefer to stream or download it then donate. If i bought all my anime i would have burnt through thousands.

Finding a perfect quality version of an anime movie that's still in theaters is pretty much impossible. Clearly you have not tried to download/stream such a film before. You will not be able to find a decent quality version of Rebellion until the BD come out.

Perhaps you misunderstood the question and concluded that Xinisterad was referring to all anime series in general, in which you'd be correct. However, he is only referring to this movie in particular, whereas you're only choice at the moment is to see it in theaters, settle with a low-quality camrip, or wait for the BD.

Movies rarely ever stream on legal sites, at least not new movies. So I wouldn't bother looking for them at CR and the like.

Wow! $40! Not $70 or $90? Jesus, this is a true Christmas miracle. Indeed, Aniplex's strategy is to play the "make more money from fewer sales of high-priced items" angle, rather than trying to capture large numbers of sales with low prices. You'd almost think they were a Japanese distributor or something... and they are! So for those who decry the traditional R1 companies for being unnecessary middlemen or whatever, be careful what you wish for when you advocate Japanese companies entering the North American market directly; you just might get it.

^ But filthy Americans don't deserve to buy cheap. They have to pay exorbitant amounts to feed a dead fanbase support the industry. The Japanese business model for anime is obviously the right model to support.

The first two films are being (re-)released by Aniplex of America. It seems that this time it's more of a full-on localization rather than an import. They're dubbing them and releasing them as a Blu-ray/DVD combo version as well as individual DVDs. Their info is a bit contradictory, though, as on the home page of AoA's website it says it also includes a CD, while their official page for the release, as well as RightStuf's page, don't include that in the name or description. Also, the picture they have doesn't show a CD, let alone a case for one.

http://madokamagicausa.com/movie.php

Surprisingly, the price isn't as much as I'd expected. I'm actually kinda ticked off because I bought the import versions from e-bay a couple months ago, thinking it was unlikely that they'd be re-released by AoA. I wonder if the dub will be better than their dub of the TV series (I didn't think it was terrible, I just thought the Japanese dub was better).
