Wow, that sense of guilt just exploded out of her. I'm not too surprised though by the depths of this manga.

I hope she stops him from doing it.

why uncle is blaming himself? he wants good, still it wasn't him who hit that mother of girl! he doing nothing wrong, maybe only hurt his girlfriend...

PS. OMG THAT WAS SO INTENSE, the most intense chapter and page in the all manga (the last). Why so little comments it was so much action here!

Btw. Uncle is one of my fave character so if he die I will be in mourning :/

" So then what is living to you? "

" ...Hmm. Perhaps redemption. "

This chapter seemed to echo the hollow words Yuuichi spoke earlier ( in volume 3 ).

I really didn't think that this situation was going to drive him into committing suicide, that's just sad.

That gigantic floating head of page 14 it caught my attention. Is misterious, curious and kinda funny. I hope see more of "him", maybe is another "god" and all the PunPun family have they own "god"

Coming back to the Pottery School and finding out that all the trouble that's occurred before he left has been resolved as if nothing's happened in the first place had the opposite effect on Yuichi's will to live than expected.

It's a big relief that Midori was there to pull him out of his darkest moment in life.

Personally I think he blames himself for not being able to save the girl. His decision has indirectly led to everyone being hurt (himself, his girlfriend, the girl, Washio)

BEST GIRL!!!!! I really thought it was over but she got to him in time!!!!!!

I think I understand Yuu's feelings. One event has loomed over him, been the main worry occupying his mind, dictated how he's seen the world and other people for five years. Now (to borrow Kajo_senpai's words) he finds out that the source of the shame and guilt that's controlled his life has been resolved as if nothing ever happened in the first place. It's "good" in a material/face-value sense that everything turned out fine, and you'd think it'd feel like a release of all that guilt, but Yuu turns the other way. The source of his shame is now something that people chuckle over. Everyone has moved on but him. It's a doorway to yet more embarrassment and shame for him. His life rendered pointless in that moment...

How the hell does Washio OR the girl's mom survive? I thought he hit her in the face with a mallet and then dropped an urn on her head but maybe the mallet was rubber and be broke the urn on the ground. But then I thought the kiln burned his face off lmao but I guess not.

That outcome of the whole mess from 5 years ago is unbelievably optimistic. Swing from a hammer to the head resulted in just a minor injuries?? The guy who jumped headfirst into the industrial oven and had burns all over his upper body is somehow okay and back in business too??? And that psychopatic girl suddenly had a change of heart???? All of that is really hard to believe.

And even after excellent explanation from @everything-bagel two posts above, I still simply don't get Yuichi here. I suspect it to be due to lack of events that carried such heavy weight in my own life, but from my point of view at that moment Yuichi's future was looking pretty bright.

Pretty bad time to be having an existential crisis. The realization of self-hatred is never easy, nor is the fear of an unjust and empty future without purpose.
From the philosopher Albert Camus's point of view, Oyasumi's decision to end his suffering/attempt to end it makes sense, as only the Abursd is true; the universe exists without reason other than wanting to.
Midori, although, seems to have hope and see the good in Oyasumi.
She doesn't view the world as meaningless and might be the Godsend Oyasumi needs to get him out of the hole he trapped himself into.

Overall, this chapter is excellent. It puts philosophical ideology to the test with the various schools of thought, especially those within existentialism.
Questioning the validity of our existences and the nature of ourselves and others is the question.
The answer, however, is nowhere to be found.
