I think Ugo is gone, like forever.
"whats so special about bonzai trees?"
"They are the loli of the tree world."

Just a random question here, but does Hakuryuu become a character that pops up frequently through the series? like an important character or something?

Looking back at this it's a bit disappointing how people have mostly ignored or just don't care about how much they've crapped on the personalities of some of these characters. (Candor and a handful or other people do care but that's all i've seen.)

All of the focus seems to be on how much they have or may not have fucked up the plot.

-Judal, Cassim, any other "bad" guy just looked shallow.
-Alibaba was mostly annoying, a pussy or whatever else he got called during the course of the first season.
-Sure you can say that Sinbad is badass and funny sometimes but he's one of the most complex characters in this series and that just didn't come across the anime.
-I can go on about how Aladdin and Ugo are supposed to be that much more amusing.

All of these things just add up to the viewing experience.
It's like if you're cooking and you've forgotten to add spices/seasonings, your dish might still be edible but bland nonetheless.

It's one thing to repair the story and make it follow the manga but for me these characters have taken a hit that is not as easy to repair.
Ugh it just bothers me because I wanted this adaptation to surpass everything and much more. ;~;
