Anyone know if there's a list of the filler episodes for this series?

I've been struggling to stay interested, but based on all the positive reviews, I'm trying to stick to it and have put this series on hold multiple times instead of dropping it. Still, I've only made it through episode 15. I think if I could just streamline the episodes and know which ones are "filler" and which ones are integral to the story it might help me approach each episode in an appropriate context.

You REALLY don't want to miss any episodes of this series. They are all important. If you find yourself struggling, you could always multi-task. That helps. But suffice to say, you've pretty much made it through the "fluffiest" of them. The plot really picks up from episode 16 and onwards.

All of them may seem fillerish, but they are important.

Right now I think only episode 12 is filler, nothing significant came out of it; no returning characters or important later on. All the characters in the other "fillerish" episode make cameo appearances in other episodes.

Episode 28 also appears to be filler, the only important thing in that episode you need to know is that her friends finds out about Eichi-kun and there is a guy that only made one more appearance in a later episode.

I realize this topic is from 2012 and it's 2016 now. But I want to add in my thoughts in case anyone else has this same question and comes across this.

The only episodes I consider fillers are
-Episode 12: A magical stone that keeps shinigami out is given to Tanaka, the Koyama housemaid. Takuto and Meroko spend the whole episode trying to contact Mitsuki so she can remove the stone.
-Episode 23: Tanaka is jealous of Ms Oshige thinking that she is Wakaouji's girlfriend. Tanaka challenges Oshige on who would make a better housewife by competing in doing laundry, cooking miso soup, cleaning the house, etc.

I wouldn't fully consider 28 a filler, but if you skip it you're not missing anything major. As the person above me already described.
(EDIT:) That d-bag loser that was trying to "score" with Full Moon in episode 15 never appears again. That episode may seem unimportant, but it shows Mitsuki's naiviety. Also, the Takuto and Mitsuki scene towards the end is one of the early signs of something that I won't mention here as I feel it would be a spoiler.

The other first 20 something episodes are important and so not fillers. They set the foundation to the story. Full Moon debuts and becomes popular. Mitsuki's friendship with Takuto and Meroko grows. The beginning episodes where Full Moon/Mitsuki meets and helps a few fans and industry people show us her personality. They show how she's kind, pure of heart, yet pretty naive. These traits make her a good person and have helped her make friends, but also put her in some trouble later on in the series.

I've heard that this doesn't follow the manga completely and that there are non-canon episodes, but I can't find a proper filler list anywhere. Anyone know which episodes are non-canon filler?

I'm sure that there are plenty of skippable episodes, but I'd recommend that you watch all of them. I watch every episode of every show I watch, and all of Full Moon's at least felt like they supported the overall tone and theme the show was going for, not to mention that they were all enjoyable. I hope you enjoy it, I'd just finished it recently and loved it to death, so have fun.

Thanks, but I still want to know which episodes are filler. I don't normally watch tragedy porn and I don't want to get stuck with 52 episodes of it if I don't get quite hooked.

Well, it all comes down to the fact that there isn't really any, minus what was mentioned above. Every episode serves to flesh out some minor characters or the main cast themselves. There's not really a single episode that feels like a waste since it all furthers the plot in some way, shape, or form. I'm not sure if I can help with reducing the episode count, so I apologize.

Character development that happens in filler is infuriating because it has to get walked back for the canon eps. I'll just wait and keep it on hold until someone tells me the answer, it's fine. I have plenty to watch.

If you don't want filler the best option is the manga. Way shorter and way more concise. The story is vastly different

Yeah that is what I understand from looking it up. I don't enjoy manga though in general so honestly I'm just going to move on. It is what it is.

I know this is an old discussion but I don’t think it would hurt to give my opinion. I finished this series a few months ago and it was amazing. I can definitely see how others might think there are a lot of filler episodes to skip but every episode does have something important even if it’s unnoticeable at first. It wouldn’t be the biggest deal to skip a few episodes that aren’t the most important but I recommend just sitting through them up till the end. This anime is really good especially the ending so you should definitely keep watching because trust me, it will get a lot better. Hopefully I helped anyone who wanted to know or if they just wanted another persons opinion!
