I noticed a few dips in production and animation quality the likes of which I didn't catch in the original, and some of the writing and visuals, including parts of the battle, seemed a bit lazy and sloppy compared to what I recall for the first one. It's a bit early to judge, but the first season had a FAR better opening act. Still entertaining, but not quite as good as I'd hoped so far. It could go either way from here. |

| Dog Days is back~ Like Season 1 before it's really nothing spectacular but it's just such a cute little show. A totally 'feel good'-anime imo. It's a lot of fun! ;D Every episode there's only one thing on my mind: I want to touch all their fluffy tails, pet them like crazy and cuddle with them all at the same time - over and over again! x3 Looking forward to a very entertaining 2nd season! |

| Finally!!!! After waiting for a whole year and wishing for a second season. I felt so happy watching this that i even teared up halfway through. The 2nd seasons visual looks really good, WAY better than the first season. The vibrant colours really makes it even more beautiful. The summoning part was really well animated imo its really quite stunning. Also it seems the ecchi level was increased as well. The OP animation was really spectacular, with the many fight scenes and colours and the fact that its sang by Nana Mizuki. The ED was also well done, it has the same feel with S1's ending theme but i still preferred S1's(for now). Its nice to see the whole cast again namely Rico still looks cute. Yukikaze still as beautiful as ever, Eclair still a Tsundere, Millhiore still looks adorable. The whole welcoming "war" looks so fun that and got me so pumped up that even i felt like joining in (lol). Along with the reappearance of the 3 bakas and Gaul really made it even more enjoyable. Finally the scene where Cinque made his grand appearance was really well done, it manage to made a big impact imo. The new human characters with Cinque looks interesting as well. Nanami looks gorgeous in her battle attire, gotta give the designer credit for that. I especially like the headband on her head with the feather? design. Becky was also cute when she was feeling shy when everyone said hi to her, also her battle outfit suits her very well imo. The new squirrel princess looks interesting and i think shes going to add more laughs to this awesome show. This show really is an awesome lighthearted fun series that makes me feel happy just watching it and seeing the characters have fun. So far for episode 1 its a 10/10 for me, CANT WAIT for the next episode. Finally i hope this season gets rated a lot higher than last season since i think last season was incredibly underrated and since only fans watch S2 of an anime, im sure this will get a good rating. |

| This made me go re-watch the first season. Curiously enough, i don't see anything imperfect in it on the second pass. Excellent thing, as long as you aren't waiting for what isn't there. Also, i don't feel Bekky to be a typical shy moe auauau. She's behaving perfectly like a normal human would, neither making a comedy nor producing rays of moe out of it. | Great first episode, this is one of the shows which I was really looking forward to this season. I can't wait for the second episode, this one seemed so short. |

| Please tell me Cinque, what's the thinking in inviting someone who you know is vastly superior to you into your fantasy hero-fulfillment world? It's a good thing there was never attempt to put a serious tone in dog days or the horrendous defeat he'd suffer every episode would have him in a constant state of emo brooding. Who am I kidding, they're going to have the bestest of friends rivalry, and they're going to fight everyday, and everyone's going to love everyone else a whole huggy bunch. It helps not at all that this is even more shameless then the last season. i'd really like to believe that this show can do better than its predecessor, but the forecast looks grim. |

| Probably the first season is the best, but overall it's really a beautiful Anime. It deserves to be seen. |
