| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This is probably the most elaborate bread-reaction yet!! It's so wacky and out of place that they have to place a reminder during the dream sequence to let the audience know they're still watching Yakitate Japan >_< It's not the funniest reaction but still brought a few chuckles. Its nice to see then actually doing some real competition. And the notion of a diet bread is kind of an oxymoron, but i'm convinced :) im gonna go find some bamboo charcoal!! |

| Wouldn't whole grain or whole bran bread be good for you too? Or is that too standard, I wonder? But I agree - a "diet" bread is kinda off... Bread isn't exactly the most slimming food. It can be pretty delicious though. ... Matsushiro's French is horrendous. XDDDD I guess if English is difficult for Japanese people to speak already, then French would be way harder, especially since you have to be able to roll 'r's and make throaty or nasal sounds (depending on the word obviously). |

| I don't think I've ever seen a parody done quite like this. They didn't even hide it, just straight up brought the Black Tri-Stars in, names and all, and turned them into rival bakers. I'm pretty surprised how far they went with the parody, too. I thought they'd keep it as a fun nudge to Gundam fans, so I was pretty surprised when they brought out the Rick Doms and did the Jet Stream Attack while off-brand Gallant Char played in the background. I was half expecting them to reveal Kirisaki to be a CHAR at the end there. |
