| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Wow and it gets better... granted i was a lil sketchy on the whole idea that the fake L's real name wasn't "L" and he still died after getting his "not name" written in the notebook. Regardless, second episode in and I'm captivated. Hoping it will continue to live up to all it's hype |

| Obviously a nice anime... Liked the animation... and the VA's totally fit the characters.... It's surprising how the atmosphere the manga has, the anime manages to retain it and get it better with all that dark atmosphere it shows the whole long episode.... L's cool for sure hahaha An Ryuk will have fun for a long while hahaha Signs, Green |

| that was cool, finally an anime that makes me wanna see more sooner.. its like a police thriller movie mixed with sci fi.. now we will discover how they will manage to find each other.. the race has started! |
| WOAH!!! that trick with Lind L. Tailor was really good!!! L's really smart!! and the fake "worldwide broadcast but just a regional broadcast" was really smart too!!! it really narrowed L's hunting ground to just the kanto region instead of the whole of japan!! WOAH!!! looks like the start of something.. :D |

| WOW !! L totally figured Kira out, Light should be pissed. Have to admit it, now I'm hooked *_*. I like insanely intelligent characters and this anime has not one, but two of those!! |

| It's easy to notice how well this series' pacing is. This episode went by in a flash and I loved every second of it. The atmosphere is great, and it's a pretty smart show. L and Light are superb characters. |

| Did anyone else love that "I am Justice" part at the end? It just goes to show how gray the morality in this is. Both Light and L have good intentions (well, Light comes off as a bit of a crazy) and now I'm not quite sure who to root for. ...And now I'm off to watch the rest, as well as read the manga. |

| Wow, incredible eipisode, I was sure I wouldn't get this excited about this series, that it was just hype, but so far it's really, really interesting. Can't watch more now cos I gotta go to work argh, I think I could marathon half this series if I had the time. |

I watched the live action movies before the series and loved them so I figured that the anime can only be better. |
| I don't think it's all that crazy for people to go crazy or whatever when they have THAT much power, even in a short amount of time. Plus, I've always figured a (unspecified) amount of time has occurred during that sequence. |

| Yeah, this episode definitely made me want to see more - L is already favorite character of mine and he made just a single move... Kira is so doomed... But I guess that's what you get for being such an arrogant bastard, think that you'll create a world where no one should stand against you... |
