| In my opinion this episode was a bit less good as the previous one but well the story behind it sure is interesting so let's see what's next! |

| That youkai that pulled Natsume by the hair creeped me out. Kind of reminded me of Samara from The Ring movie. Natsume captured, if he were to know maybe 1-2 defense spells he'd be safe. |

| This was quite boring until the last few minutes. I guess the episode was setting the stage for the next episode. I hope the Matoba guy doesn't get his hands on the book of friends, although Natsume is in more danger right now. And what kind of Roadrunner physics was that in the beginning? Natsume should have at least had some broken bones if not splattered all over the ground after falling from that height. |
| Episode full of mystery, very interesting narrative, which does not waste a single minute with unnecessary situations, except those brief moments dedicated to comic situations. This episode also gives us a way to better analyze Natsume and his unfamiliar with the danger, his behavior is too reckless. |

| Oh boy, the Matoba douchebags are back and into the kidnapping business now. |

| Natsume stumbles into a case involving someone...or something...draining various youkai of their blood for a ritual. When a certain winged youkai asks Natsume for help he unwittingly comes across Seiji Matoba of the Matoba clan. Even with Natori, Hiiragi and Nyanko-sensei as backup Natsume still finds himself captured by Matoba! Well dayum, wasn't expecting a cliffhanger! Is that a series first? I can't recall...oh wait, the ogres in the well from last season was definitely a 2 parter. Anywho a very violent, action packed episode. Those man-made youkai Matoba controls remind me of No Face from Spirited Away. I knew we'd hafta confront the Matoba clan eventually, and this was certainly an interesting opening round. That said, I'm not yet certain if that female youkai draining the blood is actually being ordered to do so by Matoba, or if she's doing it on her own to try and please him. Don't wanna jump to conclusions just yet. Despite the overall tenseness this episode did have several good comedic touches. Natori making every woman he spoke to nearly orgasm, Nyanko's-sensei's continued adorable gluttony and landing cushion, and Natsume's scene with the winged youkai near the beginning in the air. I like that youkai btw, glad he saved her...for now at least. |

| Usually anime is not tense, and when it gets tense it ends with a calm ending. Haha I remember this arc very little, I saw it a long time ago and now that I'm re-watching it I want to see what my new opinion will be. |

| I love the episodes that dance around the darkness in the Natsume Yuujinchou, and by that I mean the Human side. It has been hinted that the Youkai's numbers have been reduced by the Humans over time and any of them that can threaten the stronger members of the Youkai world must mean a lot of trouble. |
