| i was avoiding answering to this question, simply cause it's SOOO hard choosing some favourite characters!! I already had a hard time doing that once on my profile page.. :P When it comes to picking, I get confused, I need hours to select, i'm very picky! xD Anyway, let's say that my fav character generally is Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji. I used to have a major crush that's getting better with time... lol I also like Naruto and Kakashi a lot! Mostly I love how Naruto grows into being really mature in the second season. And Kakashi is just hot and about my age too! lmao Okay, getting a little more serious now, I love male characters that aren't afraid to show their emotions, but take decisions and support them. They don't have to be bishies.. and actually I hate shows with only bishie characters that are though BRAINLESS... That's why I love anti-heroes! They are always the ones that are more complete as characters, since they have to constantly fight with their dark sides. This makes them more "human" to me, or better say approachable, and makes me connect with them more and care for them and their story. I don't like female characters very much.. mostly because of them being the male's supporting roles, so generally... annoying, with very high-pitched voices, boobs over brains and powerless. The only female characters I enjoy are the ones that take matters to themselves, can stand on their own feet, don't rub onto every male on sight and are more tomboish. Genrally I avoid any cliche character, and as I wrote on my profile too, my fav character types are: dark, mysterious, eccentric, anti-heroes, intellectual & brainy |

| Eh, hard question >_< Most of the time my "favorite" in a show is usually more "pair-oriented", like how two characters play off of each other. For example, as much as I like Haruka (from makaze's earlier post), I like her even more with Michiru. The same is true for most of my 'favorite' characters. That said, my absolute favorite character EVER, is Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. He starts out as this smart, arrogant, (height sensitive) kid on a selfish journey, and is forced to help fix everything. *mumblespoilersmumblemumble* @Justice, I agree with pretty much your entire post. Except I haven't watched more than a few episodes of Naruto, so I haven't really got an opinion there. |

I watch shounen because it's more often there to find characters that are depicted as smart and powerful, even female like that. When I find shows with female leads that are strong and independant, I surely wanna watch them!! Like Claymore.. although it failed royally because of the story.. But generally most shoujo, nowadays, make females look silly and I hate that. But I think we had that convo the other day and we agreed that we both like shows where females are smart and strong! ;) So I have to watch/read some of the series you recommended! |

| I don1t like the silly and stupid characters of shoujo animes, too, but luckily there are a lot of animes where the female characters have a strong willpower and determination. Some of them have even a sense of humor, like Matsumoto in Bleach or Lina Inverse (Slayers). Other female characters I like are Clare (Claymore), Soifon (Bleach) or Sora Naegino (Kaleido Star). On the other hand I can't stand smoothy bishies, which often look like a girl. |
| Hmm expected this to be about Shugo Charas :) Ok I like a variety of anime characters for a variety of reasons, but, I can't seem to like anyone more than Usagi Tsukino. Sadly I see too much of myself in her I guess. |

| I just added Crona/Chrona from Soul Eater partially because he/she reminds me of myself. I noticed recently I've been saying to myself the phrase "I can't deal with this right now". Then I remembered that Crona says something similar a few times in Soul Eater. I also liked it when he said this: "Stop squatting like that. It looks like you're going to the bathroom". I was trying to figure out which character to remove from my favorites list because I already had 10. I was thinking about maybe Rolo because a lot of people be hating on Rolo, but I'm not gonna listen to the haters. Actually I didn't like Rolo until towards the end, but then I reflected back and realized that even though he's messed in the head he has endearing qualities. I ended up removing Snakey/Zabimaru from my list since I already have him as my avatar. |

| As much as I appreciate well written characters I cannot deny that I love Gary stu characters. Are they realistic? no. Are they well-developed? probably not. Are they fun to watch? Hells yeah. I also love characters that under react during serious situations With that in mind... Kenshi Masaki (Tenchi muyo: war on geminar) - he is even badass while folding clothes. Ryner Lute (The Legend of Legendary heroes) - Love the lazy attitude and a well developed character. Okazaki Tomoya (Clannad) - Loved the development and his prankster side; for me his bullshitting monologues were hilarious. Maou-sama (Hataraku Maou-sama) - very lively and diverse character. |
