A welcome break from the boring villain-of-the-week format. We finally get some plot and some backstory about Kisaragi. All that Batman training made him look older than his years. I would've never guessed he was so close in age with the main cast.

We finally get a reveal of the bad guy and their motivation, although they aren't very interesting right now. I like the way the series uses Shinto mythology. I think Shinto mythology in general is very interesting and it's a shame there aren't more mainstream manga/anime that deal with the topic.
