Good episode too, those drawings look better than the anime. Which must be weird for them to see.

Kaya into Takagi :3 Well I sure hope they'll advance on that topic a bit more than only on the manga but well the manga sure has some epic development as well, let's see what's next!

Oh god, Miho in a maid outfit, he have some crazy dream xD

So now they have their first manuscript finish. But of course, I'm pretty sure it will be rejected. I don't know the reason yet, but the phrase at the end of the preview really make me believe that. Also, I don't think that Mashiro said that story at the park for no purpose, the story about the guy that always get rejected.

About the concept himself, it's interresting, but I don't know why it make me remember Mars of Destruction, a shit anime that no one should ever see xD

I'm watching this for the third time and it was an awesome episode with great developing for the main protagonist.I would like to read a manga about the blind baseball player and the story was quite good as well.

"It was like Azuki and I were on the same wavelength." That's some optimistic thinking. Here's to hoping she doesn't wind up banging some other guy in high school!

Akito's story sounds a bit like it'd be better as a seinen than a shonen. Then again, it does have lots of cool action/characters, and if Death Note can be a shonen...

Bakuman seems more wholesome than most anime since it was on NHK, with the playful scene of tickling between friends instead of groping.

Something about the sound of Moritaka's inking was very soothing/almost ASMR-like.

"Master, your meal is ready." :o Even that almost naughty fantasy about Azuki was pretty wholesome. No cleavage or anything.

"Hello, this is the editorial department for Shounen Jack." Uh oh...Akito better not pussy out and hang up.
"No, son, you may not have your body pillow at the dinner table!"

Their dedication is incredibly praise worthy, they're working hard. They're about to submit their work, can't wait to see how good the editor will believe it is.

Nice! Basically an episode of hard work haha.

I still can't get used to 'Jack' instead of 'Jump' lol

Good thing they choose the clone earth story rather the sunglass baseball player lol.

And it’s nice to see how they really work hard to finish a manuscript. That front page really looks good.

The pacing continues to feel like a gentle breeze for me whenever I watch these episodes. Good to see them work hard enough over the summer to finally finish their first manuscript together, although I'm not sure how exactly their approach of isolation would pan out to a genuinely successful manga. Isolation = Mashiro focusing solely on the art with no real input from Takagi and vice versa. Still though, next episode is going to have them show their stuff to Shounen Jack/Jump so should be exciting stuff there. The cover of the manuscript looks really nicely drawn, even if it still has that fanart/realistic feel and not exactly that shounen manga feel to it so there definitely is a ton of room to grow for Mashiro from that cover alone.

I also loved the ideas that came from Takagi and in a way, I can relate to the kind of stuff that just pops out of his brain since I've had my own ideas/short stories with sci-fi content like how he cloned the Earths, and the baseball pitcher story while not as captivating sounding, fits that shounen demographic more. He's definitely got the knack for concepts and ideas I have to say.

Akito accidentally `hit` Miho's best friend, he should clear things up or else things will go awry

Well if this will be the normal shounen route, then 95% likely that their manuscript will be rejected

there was just a lot to episode, a lot, but just captures what's so good about bakuman.

we got character development for the most unused character so far, kaya.
we got little more on miho, but not much as kaya.

mashiro and takagi working on the manga was just great, captivate the true "action" of bakuman.
the overall work seems very well, the art might seems too "realistic" than it's own story, like takagi story is very sci-fi in every way it could be, and very deep, but mashiro seems to taking it more like psychological slice of life, that's how it seems to me at least by how he's drawing.

the cheesiness ending doesn't even come close to how previous episode ended, that was beautiful.

Their first completed work! I will say, watching stuff like this, stuff about creation, always makes me long to focus more some more on writing of my own. I guess it's a good thing I still feel that desire.

In regards to the episode, it was great to see the characters drive and progress. I can appreciate them wanting to handle their respective sides of the manga. But, I do think the creative process would benefit a bit from some more input from one another. "If it's good enough for you, it's good enough for me," is all well and good for now, but I just have to wonder how that'll work out for them when they submit it and finally receive some feedback. Though, considering they are amateurs, I suppose every step is a lesson at this point. It's not like I'm expecting them to win any contests or get anything published this soon.
