Um, no. I just watched it and their stream is exactly the same as the AT-X broadcast. The blood is red instead of black, the gore and the ecchi stuff was still there. If there was a complaint to be made it's the yellow font color of the subs (that always irritates me, even more so when the DVDs I buy have them).

You didn't answer this part of my post though: Why are they DMCA-ing fansubs, when they're already streaming shit on Youtube? Fear of competition? Preventing people from downloading? There's no rational explanation for it.

Because it costs money to sub and upload an anime, they get revenue from ads, youtube etc. Here's a better question, Why are fansub groups uploading illegal versions of shows when there's a legal alternative to it? The whole point of fansubs is to provide anime that is not legally available outside of japan. If its already available legally, why upload it? There's no rational explanation for it.

Actually maybe I can clarify this for you... Somewhat... I did watch the streams for liscensed anime on my summer watched list.. Just so that I didnt have to wait on a sub.. its quicker.. or I watched raws..

But in the case of theanimenetwork.com which has the legal stream of HSOTD.. it was regional.. there were alot of people.. and will STILL be alot of people.. that wont even be able to access the stream due to where they live.. Im not pleading their case for them.. Im just trying to help maybe clarify why they would still sub liscensed anime.

What?

MADhouse even mentioned that there would be little, and if any it's from them personally lowering down the violence just so this doesn't happen.

Not sure what to say...other than do you guys really care? 90% of you probably won't even purchase it anyway..why even post? >.<

And seriously We have people in horror movies getting their @$#$ chopped off/Porn/Animated Porn.. and a little animated violence is ganna be censored?,who was the fool who started that in this topic..
The only thing in the USA that would be censored is images that project a child in a sexual manner.(Against the law in the states). So no need to worry about censorship guys.
DVD's are uncut O.O
Of course Tv broadcast is a whole different story, but do you watch tv expecting uncut graphic material?I sure as hell don't.

Yourfalling into the trap yourself with that post, you know.

On topic:

Going off all of the initial hype this show has; Sentai are going to make a mint from it, allowing them to seriously challenge Funimation's position as the biggest anime licensor (although Funi still edge it due to DBZ, FMA and OP).

Hmm, interesting move.

Anyway, I doubt this'll get censored, they didn't censor Elfen Lied or Higurashi if I remember correctly. As long as it doesn't have nude lolis, it'll be fine.

The English dubbed and subbed versions will be released in North America.

Well that's all fine and lovely for North America, but what about the rest of the english-speaking world? They really can't see past their own country, can they.

So North America is a single country now? Wow, I never noticed that! I've lived in the United States of America all of my life and never knew that North America was just one big country. So, why did I bring my passport up with me to Canada since obviously North America is just one big country?

I was thinking Chris Patton.

I, personally, am looking forward to the English language release, if it's by the ADV crew.

I got in (and out) of Canada without a passport (or any other form of ID) a couple years ago (through the gate legally). So its not like its imposable.

I highly doubt they are going to let 4kids or a company from the 90s handle the dub.....

I'm surprised by the amount of ignorance in this thread.

I just read through this thread and seriously. Morons have no clue what American companies actually do (or don't do, I guess) with the anime they license, especially for DVD releases. I knew MAL had retards, but I never realized it was this bad.

With Ishihara's Anime and Manga Ban taking effect soon, I Highly Doubt there will be a 2nd season.
The only way i could see it happening if it was a OVA Series or the Ban is Vetoed.
