| I expect that at some point she'll regain her arm in some form or another. I cannot imagine the heroine of a shonen manga running around like Nelson for too long. And Ophelia awakening was all too predictable, but necessary. Irene will make a good nee-sama if he survives long enough. |

I hope Ilena doesn't become a sign that all the dead characters are to become revived sooner or later. It's cool if it happens once but any more and all the build up an anime has gets blown. | Thank you Flash Sword Irene for putting Ophelia in her place. It's always an emotional moment for me when Clare recalls Teresa, especially when she told Irene what she meant to her. Things were looking grim for Clare with the limbs, but now she's probably got the best remaining Sensei in the world teaching her. This is a great half-way point for the Animated part of the series, and I look forward to the rest. Ophelia awakened? I knew it was only a matter of time. 5/5 |

| The protagonist is learning a secret technique from a fencing forest hermit who's lost their will to fight? One-armed, no less? Wow, don't strain the creativity so hard, it'll break. This has been mostly true for a while, but what could have been a great grim action-horror series is veering into typical super-power stuff. I shouldn't complain too much just because it's not what I'd prefer it to be, but I don't think the typical shonen craziness of characters like Ophelia even fits with the art. The Claymores are literally grey while usual super-power antics are "colorful". In contrast, shows like Dragon Ball and One Piece have stylized, goofy art that really fits with the exaggerated tone and events. |
| For a second there, i thought it might be Teresa, but it was just Irene : / Oh great, now Clare is cripped permanently and Ophelia's Awaken. This anime is just brutal,at least our unlucky protagonist has a power up incoming. |

| Ok I'm just trying to get this straight. So Claymores are initially "made" by putting Yoma flesh/blood into their bodies. However Clare wanted to put Teresa's flesh and body into her instead (I'm guessing for really messed up sentimental reasons) so they let her, and therefore she's only one fourth Yoma. Is this correct? I feel like they should have expanded upon this a bit more. Oh well perhaps in a future episode. |

| Using this as my half-way impressions post. In short, it's quite good. Action started and remained strong so far. Story took and characters took a little longer, but I'm with it now. The vaunted "explain every detail of my and your fighting style down to the tiniest detail" trope really rears its head sometimes, but the fights, again, are pretty great! |

| Eh, kinda hard situation, Irene is definitely interesting especially that she's from Teresa's era, and now Claire is wounded as well with only one arm... Ophelia's case seems worse though, that's worrying for her beast powers |
